Landstar only has a few gray areas. First, they make you sign a contract that your semi truck is under their possession and becomes their property while you are leased on to their bus**ess, although the truck must be owned by you to sign on. Second, they put the lessor as the registrant **stead of me, the driver. This may seem to be a m**or and technical issue but if any party claims it is their vehicle, that would be the same as stripp**g away my rights. And if I were to be ** a place no one is aware of authorities would believe I do not own the vehicle. The same applies to IFTA and IRP registration which should state my name despite any lessor, which they have seperate fields for both entities.Business response

As an **dependent owner-operator that leases his truck to Landstar **way ** order to operate under **way's motor carrier authority, the State of **diana and Federal Regulations require Landstar **way to list the owner of the registration, which is the Landstar entity you contracted with, and the titled owner of the vehicle. There is no field provided to add a lessee. You should use the statement of lease to tie yourself to Landstar **way and the titled owner of the vehicle. I have attached the actual registration s**ce the document provided was the 45 day temporary registration. Pursuant to Federal Leas**g Regulations, you ret*** exclusive possession of your truck. ** regards to the IFTA and IRP registrations, ag***, Landstar **way handles these registration pursuant to your lease with **way. Otherwise, you would be responsible for calculat**g and report**g your own miles and fil**g fuel taxes directly, all of which is expl***ed dur**g the onboard**g process. ** addition to this response, someone **ternally will be reach**g out to ensure you understand these requirements.

Find the paperwork that was sent to you on December 7th USPS tracking number * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * this was signed for on the 7th and it's a confirmation of that please find paperwork so we can move forward this is the second time this has happenedBusiness response

Landstar Ranger, Inc. (“Landstar”) hereby responds to your letter dated January 25, 2022. In your letter you identified Mr. *** ****** as a customer who had an issue with delivery. Landstar investigated Mr. *******s complaint and *** *********, Corporate Paralegal, reached out to Mr. ****** to begin investigating his complaint. In his investigation, Mr. ********* discovered that Mr. ****** hauled a load for Landstar and was not paid due to missing paperwork. Ultimately, Landstar discovered the missing paperwork in order to issue Mr. *******s payment for hauling the load. On February 7, 2022, Landstar issued payment via check to Mr. ****** resolving his complaint.
