Newfold Digital, EIG, and iPage are a joke. They should not be allowed to practice in the *************. iPage was a good company 10 years ago. Since Newfold has been involved, nothing but problems with NO resolve and NO refunds. Even when your website was down almost since you paid the renewal. Not only that, it is now chat only. Frankly I think an AI chatbot would have done a better job. Every human wasn't knowledgeable of the product and could not find my domain for the longest time and more than once. Once they did and saw this issue, they tried to tell me it was fine. It proved they really do not know the business they are in. Shame on iPage for selling to them and shame on them for not offering a refund after 10 years of business. My goal here is first a full refund and second that they not be allowed to practice here in ***************** ever again.

This company owns Domain.com, which does not care at all about their customers. Terrible customer service. STAY AWAY!We bought a domain with Domain.com years ago, on auto-renew. Our credit card had fraud on it, so the bank changed the card number. Suddenly our website was not working, we check everything and come find out the domain auto-renew didn't go through. I immediately added and paid with a new credit card number. We have an ecommerce site that employs 6 people and a warehouse, so having the online store up is supremely important and our only source of renevue. After I paid, site still down. I chat with support, they assure the site will be up again after it propagates, as we know this process can be quick for some regions and up to 24 hours for far away places. The server is in **, as are we. After another 12 hours, website is down, we ask for *** changes, updates, chat, nothing, 24 hours go by, try all of the above over and over, nothing. Domain.com's server was not evening pinging, something was seriously wrong. We just wanted the site to be up. We had no choice but to initiate a transfer to godaddy. Checking in daily. Domain won't tell us what's wrong and won't work on the webiste (that they broke) because a transfer is now in progress. What a nightmare. It's been 9 days since our site went down, 6 days since we initiated transfer. We are stuck in limbo. Domain.com won't fix the problem and is holding the domain for hostage. They don't have a phone #, and chat just keeps giving the run around. Meanwhile our small business still incurring overhead with 0 revenue is teetering on the edge. The worst is, no one from Domain.com even cared about their mistake, and no one actively kept us in the loop, we've had to initiate chat every time. We don't know if they even tried to work on the problem on their end. The *** changes every time, and the site is still down. This is ALL they do and the basic premise of their business, to provide a working domain.....

Very predatory structure for renewal. Even if you have a three-year plan on one service, say hosting, they will try to get you to renew it every year. You can unclick the box, but on the final screen it'll be back on there. When you chat with support they claim there isn't any issue and at one point tried to tell me that my three year plan was only good for one! I showed them the screenshots and invoice to prove it. Finally got to renew JUST my domain name but it literally took a day of chatting and calling support. Also, I was supposed to have privacy protection for 3 years but they "changed their terms of service" and re-made it into only one year. Doesn't matter if you spent the money for three or not. They would not budge and honor the three years so I paid even more to renew a service I should have had. Now, and this is my biggest issue - I went to pull a sample from my site to show a potential client and noticed my site was a just a template. I logged in to check and ALL of my media, files, and webpages were all gone! Been on support chat for over an hour and they can't tell me when, who, or why... but they can certainly restore it from the server side for a small charge of $150.00. When asked how we can avoid this happening again, no answers except "Buy Codeguard" but everyone online seems to say Codeguard doesn't actually back up anything or stops working and doesn't tell you. Seems like extortion to me. I am definitely switching providers soon!

I signed up for hosting with Bluehost and almost immediately canceled because navigating their platform was so difficult for me as a newbie to this kind of tech. I tried to get some support, but the person behind the chat just kept repeating the same thing that I didn't understand and I asked them to explain. They were especially not helpful getting my domain, which I purchased on PorkBun, to point to BlueHost so the website would actually go live. After I canceled hosting, I kept getting emails about my "free trial" of their professional email, which I found confusing since I no longer had hosting with them and the email was an add-on for the hosting. I had created no active email, did not have an account, and couldn't figure out how to verify that I was in fact free of their professional email snare on their website. So I contacted them, and was assured that I didn't need to worry about the emails re: the free trial, they were just marketing and my account was indeed canceled. Then this morning I got charged for a "renewal" of the professional email that I never signed up for. Was on chat so long that I missed an event I wanted to attend this morning, and they were only willing to issue a refund of the very minimal charge after I informed them that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB and initiating a chargeback with my credit card company. So I wasted time on their error twice, and they didn't fix it until I basically had to tell them I would report them. No principles, and a super frustrating company to deal with, especially as their standard "policy" is to not give you money back even if they've taken it through false representation.

I've been with the company for years, and it's been a nightmare. I'm not tech-savvy enough to know how to switch hosting for my website, or I would have done it a long time ago. Their customer service is unresponsive and vastly unhelpful. None of the renewal prices are listed anywhere on their site. I couldn't even see prices in my account. You have to access the cart to checkout in order to see what they're charging you. They also itemize costs and charge you separately for domain renewal and hosting so you think you've paid them for the year, and then you're stuck with another $200+ bill. When asked about the latest item I needed to renew, they quoted me 3 different prices in one conversation. If you have issues, even simple issues, expect to be in a circular conversation with customer service for the next hour.

The first review you have printed below pretty well sums it up. It's impossible to talk with anybody at the company who can actually do anything to address my issues. The issues, however, are quite simple. I WANT THE COMPANY TO STOP CONTACTING ME, BESEECHING ME TO RENEW MY SERVICES. I am nearly 86 years old and I AM OUT OF BUSINESS. But I keep getting emails from them asking me to renew. I just want them to go away!

Bluehost is not an ethical company in my view. First you can never really talk to anyone beside the chat. The chat is handled by mostly non-speaking english employees who don't understand your issues and cannot resolve it. It took Bluehost over a month to get an email migration done, and it was not done well, created more problems and forced me to spend hours to try to resolve. When it actually was resolved, they sent a survey, which you cannot send because it returns an error. So basically they don't care. The fact that you cannot directly talk to someone is unethical, as it shows the company is already shady by not wanting to help.

I have been with Bluehost for 15+ years and during the first 12 years the service was fantastic. Then they outsourced their support... It will now take 5-10 phone calls because the support people in the *********** absolutely do not know the product. I would like to give the support team a ZERO as that is how bad it has become but it only allowed me to give a ONE. When the support staff was in the US the service was the best out there. Not sure why a company would go out of country where the support staff is HORRID.The person I am speaking to "RIS" is telling me there is no security pin set up on an account. Of course, I am actually in the account and looking at the *** which was set up on May 6, 2024 (today is May 14, 2024). Since I am an ADMIN on this account, I gave her my information which she stated she can not VERIFY. Of course, I am in the account and can see the owner's information and mine, as an ADMIN. Based on my phone records, I am on my 5th call this morning trying to deal with one thing. Oh, I also have to say that the **** is the worst in the industry. I now put BLUEHOST BELOW GODADDY and that's saying something. While Bluehost has been busy destroying their business, GoDaddy has been improving theirs. I am now going to try to reach another support member and see if they can help...Call 6.

Bluehost is the worst! They blocked my account and customer service has been completely useless. It takes forever to get a response and then they tell me they have to escalate the case and will get back to me w/o any follow-up. I have wasted so much time trying to access my account. Even w/o all of this, the site is hard to navigate and not user-friendly at all.

Bluehost deleted ALL of our websites from their server because I didn't notice that the hosting fee was due. I paid for everything else, all domain fees of hundreds of dollars which they will not refund. All of the money and times we've spent on 3 websites over the last 12 years is GONE. I'm so upset. I wish I would have looked here before to see they have one star.
