The have installed windows and sliding door on my new construction home during the construction time (12 months ago) with some details and final handles, screens, and trim pieces to be installed after construction is finished. I have been chasing them for 4 months now and I keep getting the run around and they're not coming to finish. If I dont get a resolution through the BBB I will be suing them.

       Hi ********,
I received your letter about the complaint from Mr ********** I D # ********.   *********** had a legit complaint.   I am ******* Walden the previous owner of Homerite Windows and Doors
As well as the owner when Mr. ***** windows were purchased through a homebuilder. However,  I am now the manager for the new owner of HomeRite Windows and Doors.   I called ************ the day we received the letter and went out to meet with him on Wed 1/31 at
his home to see what he needed to complete his window job. He needed 10 screens, 1 window handle that was broken,  and 1 **** cover.   We went out approx. 4 months ago to trim out his house and these items
should have been called back in to our service **** at that time which obviously were not. He says he has made several attempts calling Homerite with no success getting them. He is a very nice gentleman and I assured him that I would take care of these issues
in a short period of time.   However, I have to order them from the manufacturer and as soon as they hit my floor, we will be out to take care of his issues.  He should be all taken care of no later than mid-February. I explained this to him and he seemed to be okay.

                    Thank you,
                     ******* Walden       cell   ************
                     Manager

************,  I apologize for your inconvenience and the fact you had to go through this to get your job completed.   With all this being said, you have a beautiful home
that you should be very proud of.  Any other issues please call me direct and I will try to resolve promptly.
      Your friend,
         *******

      Mr Walden,
Thank you for your kindness and your prompt response to resolve this matter. Having the missing items ordered and installed by mid February is fine with me.

I paid $300. deposit requested of the $600. charge to repair one window frame and 4 screens, plus. Eventually, a second repairment corrected the 'incorrect assessment' of the windows, so company verbally agreed $300. would cover the job. The repairman returned to the house to only to repair the one window frame and replace 3 screens and re-screen one screen. However, when he returned a 2nd time, none of the new screens fit and he could not address the one window frame. So he left with 3 screens for securing correct fitting. Finally, the company and I concluded they could not do the job as the company service was getting very messy and wasting hours of my time without any results. They refunded me the $300. down payment. However, almost 3 months have past and they have not returned the 3 screens! I have called and emailed asking them to return the screens so that I may take them elsewhere to be re-screens, but they have not and do not answer my calls or email. Now, I have to buy 3 screens vs have 3 frames rescreened. This is a problem as the screens are an older Anderson model. The difference is between less than $100. for re-screening according to HOME Depot but only if I have my frames back to 'maybe' up to $1000 for new screens. The repairmen took the screens to be sure the fits were accurate as the ones he brought were too big. I called ***** the manager, last time 2 wks ago and sent email via web page 3 wks ago. No response. I was last told tat they would be returned but they have not returned them.

      Good afternoon,

**** ****** tried reaching out to you today via the number you left on the BBB report.  A message was left giving you 3 numbers to call us back.  In regards to your complaint, if you want a couple of screens, please allow us to come out and get you some screens made.  We have no record here of screens coming back from your home originally.  The screens that were brought to you during the service call were ones that we built that were not accepted.  We thought the job was completed once we gave you your deposit back and needs were not met.

We are more than happy to come out at your convenience to get you some screens made.  I need to know when you can meet us on property to discuss to make sure we meet your needs this time around.  Please call me at our office or email is fine as well.  We look forward to hearing from you and hopefully resolving this issue.

      Thank you.

***** *. I filed a complaint on 4/11/22 against HomeRite. The complaint was posted as a customer review. I am now refiling this complaint on 4/19/22. I had all 9 windows and 1 patio door replaced in my home with PGT Hurricane Impact windows & door on 1/16/2014 by HomeRite Windows. I have tried to have the two front windows replaced and the patio door. The two front windows are falling apart and are noisy(sound like they are open). The patio door was installed with a gap up top on the stationary side that lets rain inside when wind is blowing and bugs. I have called and sent letters since 2016. Someone comes out and they never come back. They are very polite but nothing is getting replaced or repaired. They just come out and look, then dont come back. I call again, they come out and nothing is done and they dont follow up.After 8 years of waiting and nothing being done. I am filing this complaint as a Second Step. I paid $9, 914.00 for impact doors and windows only to be disappointed with the quality and installation. My price was discounted because friends of mine had their windows replaced at the same time. These windows have a limited lifetime warranty. Why not Honor it!

This email is in response to BBB Complaint # ********:  Ms.***** ********, **** ****** *****, ************, FL *****, purchased nine windows and one patio door from HomeRite Windows & Doors on 1/16/2014.   She contacted us with a complaint regarding two front windows and the patio door.  My Field Manager went out to meet with Ms. ******** on 5/13/22.  He assessed the situation with the two windows and patio door.  He determined that glazing bead needed to be ordered for the windows, and a felt pad needed to be ordered for the patio door.  Items for the windows and the patio door have been ordered.  As soon as this product is manufactured and received, we will contact Ms. ********* to have it scheduled for installation at her convenience.  There is a lifetime warranty on the material, and a two-year warranty on labor.  I have personally called and spoken with Ms. ******** and informed her that this service (materials and labor) will be completed at no charge. We look forward to servicing the windows and door of Ms. ********.  If you have any questions, you may contact me at ************.
