I hired The Gutter Guy of the Treasure Coast this past August to repair a leak in a gutter. The work was completed this past fall, and payment made of $3550. The company came back several times after leaking continued. The leaking is nearly constant. I then called the owner to look at the problem. He came and said he'd send his workers over. This didn't happen. I sent a certified letter demanding my money back. There was no response. I have all the supporting documents and photos. Please help.Customer response

Hi, as per the Gutter Guy request, we have called a general contractor and a roofing company for their input. Both are expected tomorrow. The contact from the gutter guy is telling my husband we only have until this Friday to reach an agreement with them. Can they do that?Business response

Clarification regarding the recent installation of the super gutter at the Vanslyck residence.
After being called to provide an estimate for fixing a leaking super gutter, our company provided a quote for a super gutter replacement, as we do not perform super gutter seam repairs.
During the installation, our technicians noticed that the roof line bows in the middle of the patio area.
We brought this to your attention and mentioned that the super gutter may hold water in that area due to the roof situation.
We advised that this could potentially be a roof issue that requires immediate attention from your roofers. Despite this information, you requested us to proceed with the gutter installation and mentioned that you would contact your roofers.
A few weeks after the super gutter installation was completed, you contacted us again, stating that the super gutter was leaking from the middle seam. ************** visited your residence and applied additional caulking on the inside as per your request.
However, you then requested caulking to be applied on the outside of the gutter as well. We reiterated our initial advice regarding the bowing roof and the need for that issue to be resolved to prevent the super gutter from bending and holding water.
Upon your third request for further caulking on the outside of the gutter, we informed you that it would be our final visit to address this issue,as the source of the leaking problem lies with your roof.
I want to emphasize that our installation of the super gutter was completed to standard, and there is no further action that can be taken by Gutter Guy.
Once the roof issues are resolved, the super gutter will no longer hold water or leak.Customer response

Hi, this issue has been resolved. Gutter Guys gave us back our money.
