Very unprofessional and inadequate management at the leasing office. The property manager, ***************************** of ******************* is simply not qualified for the responsibilities of his title. After my roommate created a request to remove me from the lease and live there alone, I responded with my signature and date of moving out, and proceeded to move out of the apartment. After leaving town and arriving in *******, I was told over the phone that I was still liable for the lease since the office's printer wasn't working at the time of my (former) roommate's request to remove me from the lease. Thus, they did not get a signature at the time the request was initiated in their system. Not sure how one can respond and sign off of a removal request that wasn't verified with a signature at the time of the initiating party's request. If your printer isn't working, there are plenty of e-signature options to compensate for your equipment failure... they were simply lazy, irresponsible, and refused to take any accountability subsequently. *****'s employees and property assistants knew that the situation was unjust and voiced such opinions to me in my many attempts to fix the outcome.After getting this news, I returned to town to sort this out. I then learned that my former roommate decided to break the lease instead of staying there as they had originally planned. When I visited the leasing office, I had to request permission to enter the apartment and any facilities, and was to return my key after I was done with my visit even though I was "still on the lease." I am now in collections for a 2 months penalty for "breaking the lease," even though I never signed ANYTHING to break the lease. The only legal document I signed and dated was a roommate removal request, which I completed as the respondent. They then filled the apartment with new tenants the same month.Unethical, unknowledgeable, opaque, rude, ignorant... words cannot describe how unreasonably bad of an experience I had with this apartment community management led by *****************************.
