I hired (pre-paid) this man to represent me in a divorce case that never happened. Neither my wife or myself decided to file for divorce which means I had to fire this man as I no longer required his services. I paid him two thousand dollars up front to represent me in a divorce case. My wife and I settled our disagreements at home, decided to reconcile our marriage, and I never used any of this mans/firms services, yet he REFUSES to give me my money back. A person with immoral and unethical values like this is the epitome of why people LOATHE and hate attorneys. He continues to argue the fact that I paid a *non-refundable* retainer agreement, but here's the thing... the non refundable part would be ok with me, had we actually went to court, or had we actually DONE ANYTHING AT ALL - but the firm did nothing (they may have taken information from me and drafted a total of 4 or 5 documents, but this is going to cost me TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS?!?!?!?!) how does this man look at himself in the mirror, or sleep at night, knowing that he would rather take two thousand dollars from a husband and father that needs to provide for his family, instead of doing the moral, ethical, and RIGHT thing by refunding my money. ***, if you actually follow any of the 12 steps from AA - making amends is one of those steps. If you feel like making amends is robbing my daughter/family of money they need for Christmas, you sir are a pathetic excuse of a human being and I wish you nothing but ill will for the rest of your life. I will continue to stand up for what's right, moral, and ethical until you are no longer in a position to rob people of hard earned money, and ruin their lives.
