We have a reservation booked via the **************** travel portal at the key largo inn scheduled for June 21st, and it is currently June 19th. We are attempting to cancel this reservation and would like to get our money (points) back for a full refund. The hotel is denying this request even though their policy states we are cancelling far enough out for a full refund.Business response

Key Largo Inn
This guest wanted to cancel too late within 48 hours of their arrival. As a courtesy the hotel agreed to let guest arrive days later and apply the
fees already paid to the future date. The guest then tried to cancel the second date after agreeing to the hotel offer. to accommodate at no further cost for the second date.
The guest is attempting to scam the hotel and avoid the late cancel penalty.
No refund is due. This another case of no good deed goes unpunished. The hotel was under no obligation to extend a courtesy to offer the guest a comp room at a future date.

In September we started planning our wedding trip to the ******* Keys with our travel agent. We booked and paid by credit card our entire trip. Our first nights stay was with Key Largo Inn on Feb 3-4, 2023. We arrived there and went to check in. The man at the desk asked if we were smokers which we said yes. He proceeded by telling us that we could not stay there per their policy. We told him that we understood that it was a non smoking room and that was fine. We smoke outside anyways. He said that it was a non smoking property. After my husband and I talked for a min we agreed that we were only sleeping there and leaving early the next morning so we would not smoke on the property at all. He told us that he had to cancel our room because we already "identified" ourselves as smokers. He said it was clearly marked on their website. As we walked out of the office door right outside was a large ashtray with a cigerette in it. I understand that a policy is set but NEVER in my life have I felt so discriminated for being a responsible cigerette smoker. I still have not been issued a refund. I read the entire website and after searching I was able to find that it was a smoke free property but NO where does it state that if you're a smoker you can't book with them.
