On 10/11/2022 I (*****, friend of *******) took onyx (French bulldog) to this establishment because he was really ill and a regular vet would not see him. Upon arrival I was asked to fill out forms and present ID and payment. I was told to wait outside with dog because he needed to be tested for parvo. He was tested for parvo and worms and both tests were negative. ************ examined the dog and gave his recommendations. I had a *** and chemistry profile test completed for the dog. I was told his test were normal. I was surprised because on paper the dog was completely healthy but in reality the dog was lethargic, dehydrated (dog was vomiting) , lost 11 pounds (30 lbs prior to illness). ************ gave recommendations for medications despite not knowing or giving me any explanation as what was wrong with the dog. I decided to get 2 out of the 6 recommendations. Since the Dr. had no explanation as to what was wrong I picked the 2 medications to help with the dog's immediate symptoms. (vomiting & dehydration)He said if the dog didn't get better to bring him in. They would do x-ray, or even hospitalize him if necessary or surgery. Fast forward to 10/14/2022, the dog was worse than before. Brown fluids coming out both ends of his body. *******, (the owner of the dog) took him back to the same vet, only to have the dog come home with no further medical treatment just a bag of pills. The dog died less than an hour after returning from the vet. This business knew the dog was gravely ill and still took payments for medication for a now dead dog! Attached are my receipts, General Work Up and a consent form. I don't recall seeing this consent form. I was told I had to sign a form because I did not get all the recommended medications. Note this is a digital signature, I did not see the form until AFTER I signed it. I was mislead into signing this consent. The comments at the bottom of the general work up documents is what was discussed with me. I DID NOT leave against Dr. *****

If your animal has a serious, life-threatening emergency, NEVER come here. OAE does nothing to save your pet unlike other animal emergencies. Aside from charging clients before any "service", the first bad sign in any dealing, OAE does not showing any inquiry, compassion or consideration to a client/pet's individual case. Worst of all, they make clients wait hours when minutes matter- prolonging an animal's suffering and securing their fate. When an Xray was taken of our Mia, they noted a blockage in her bowels and extreme bloating yet took no action to clean her bowels. In addition, many of her vital signs were lower than is healthy but they don't tell you that! Nope, gotta find out after when you're rushing your dog in critical condition to another emergency hospital with actual competent staff that breaks the news. All OAE does to treat dogs in emergencies is give an expensive batch of worthless medicine to force feed your sick dog that could not eat or drink in the first place! The medicine alone is $200 and jacks the price even more to $600 dollars just to pass along your near-death pet for a quick check, rinse, and repeat the cycle with other families. This overwhelmingly negative and traumatic experience is sadly common as the overwhelming 1 star reviews on Google evinces OAE's clear and routine malpractice sees dogs die hours after visiting and devastates the lives of many animals and the health of many families forever. Mia was stable but left OAE with failing organs. Is that ideal service? This was the worst and most traumatic service/experience of a business we have had the misfortune to endure. Our lives will never be the same. We pray pet owners see the reviews that we sadly didn't and OAE is investigated immediately. While we want the love of our lives back, we know it's sadly irreversible. But we are owed $7134 from those who did nothing for her, including the price of their malpractice, the hospital we went to after and a dog to help our mourning.
