It could just be because I am bitter, but I hate being lied to, and that is what happened to me by the employeestwice. It was never disclosed that I needed to have my account open for three months before I could cancel it. I was never told that when I signed up or when I went in to cancel. In fact, I was told I could cancel ANYTIME I WANTED.On to the second lie, I went in to cancel (on May 8th) and was told BY THE EMPLOYEE that my account was canceled, and I would not be charged any further. Guess what?!?! I got charged. So, I went in to see what was going on, and they told me what I had stated earlier: that I had to wait three months. Why was this not brought up at any point in the process? I was also told they emailed me about my cancellation and their policies. I checked every inbox, including spam and trash, and I have not received one email from this business (except their stupid advertisements, i.e., 'refer a friend').They brought in the manager, who essentially said I was lying without blatantly coming out and saying I was lying. I just want my $30 back and not have to pay the next two $30 payments. Times are a little too tight for me to lose it to this c*** If I had known I'd be forced into payments for three months, I would have never signed up. Everything about this gym and this process has been a lie... they need to have more honest employees (and managers who know how to discern issues).

I joined crunch fitness in ********* ** a year ago with the promise of it being 20 dollars a month but after a while they started charging extra fees that I was not aware of. I moved to ************* a few months after and I went into the gym to cancel. They then told me that I could use the membership at any crunch and I didn't have to cancel. In January I decided to go into my local gym in ******* to cancel since I was not using my membership at all and because I was again moving away and would not be using it. They then proceeded to tell me that they could not cancel it there that I would have to go back to where I originally signed up to cancel! This was not what I was told!. So I called that gym and they told me i had to write an email to the company to cancel..by this point ita already been a month of run around. After I wrote the email I received an email saying that I would have to cancel by writing a LETTER to a po box. At this point I was fed up and said I would not be doing that. The gym immediately called me and said they would do it over the phone but that I have now accumulated 150 worth of charges for late fees and annual fees and I'm not sure what other nonsense they tacked on there and that they would NOT CANCEL UNTIL I PAID. I in good faith tried to do the right thing the right way but this company gas made it impossible for me to cancel my membership in good faith. I am willing to pay the one month of January fee even if I did try to cancel several times before the month but that is it. If they look I have not used the gym for months since I moved to *********** but they still want to charge me.

2021 I moved to ******* and signed up for membership. I moved unexpectedly to back to ****, I called them several times to cancel my membership that has no contract time period and they told me I cannot cancel over the phone that I have to come into the gym. I explained I moved out of state, the person told me I have to come into the gym. They continued to charge my bank account. 2022 I came to ** to visit my parents, we took a day to go to this location so I can cancel. I get there and they said that the manager that needs to help my is not in. I have to come back. I was only in ** for 5 days. I left back to UT. Here I am in 2023 and they still WONT stop charging my account. I asked my bank to stop them from charging, but it still charges. I haven't used this gym membership in over 2 YEARS, I informed them.of this when i call and they say thats not their issue!! My other family members had the same issue with canceling, but they live there so they were able to go back to this location to chase down the manager. I want them to cancel my membership immediately and refund me the months I did not attend their gym. They can see this with the member check in. This has been a nightmare. Not to mention they keep taking money from me every **** month.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Crunch Fitness regarding their personal training services. I am frustrated by the unethical practices I experienced during the sign-up process coupled with the subsequent decline in my health, rendering me unable to continue using their services. Despite my attempts to address the situation with the company directly, Crunch Fitness has shown no willingness to resolve the matter or provide a refund. On August 5th, I messaged Crunch Fitness and expressed my interest in canceling for a personal trainer. However, I felt that I was excessively pressured into signing up against my better judgment. Furthermore, I would like to emphasize that I have never used the personal training services I was charged the last two times by Crunch Fitness. I was charged a total of $564 for lessons I never received, but asking for a refund of $282 since I had requested a cancellation before the charge. This charge has caused me significant financial distress. In an attempt to resolve this matter, I reached out to Crunch Fitness directly. However, their customer service representatives displayed a complete unwillingness to assist or provide a refund. I believe this conduct by Crunch Fitness represents a clear violation of fair business practices. As a consumer, I trusted their reputation and was unfortunately misled into a situation that has had detrimental effects on my health and financial stability. I now kindly request the Better Business Bureau's intervention in this matter to help me obtain a fair resolution. Therefore, I kindly ask for your assistance in obtaining a full refund of the $282 charged to my account by Crunch Fitness. I firmly believe that this refund is both reasonable and justifiable given the circumstances. It is my hope that through your involvement, Crunch Fitness will acknowledge their wrongdoing and take appropriate action to rectify this situation. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

I signed up with the Crunch Fitness gym last Saturday, July 1, 2023. And I met with Luis in Thursday, July 13, 2023 and originally signed a personal training contract at 7:30 PM. I called back and changed my mind around 9:15 PM. I was told I had to come in during the week but I was also told if I didn’t come in by Sunday they would not refund the money. So I came in Saturday, July 15 at around 1:30 PM and spoke with Grant the training manager. He declined giving me a refund said it had to be a health reason and then I can always use future sessions. I told him I didn’t want his future sessions, and I would invest money again once I was ready. I asked him to consider, and he said no he didn’t care that. I change my mind in less than 24 hours or less than two hours. I was given my personal training cancellation agreement and they promise not to continue to find charge my account. I canceled my gym membership that same time.

They did give me a refund. So everything worked out. Thank you!

On June 1, 2022 I reached out to the company advising I wanted to cancel my membership due to health issues. On June 2nd I got a response to please provide medical documentation as proof. On June 10, 2022 I provided them with the doctors note. No response I follow up with another email on June 29th to make sure I will not be charged for the month of July. In July I was charged and I reached out again where than Sergio provided me with a documentation to sign on July 12, 2022. I re-contacted Sergio again on September 12, 2022. In November 3, 2022 Sergio had re sent the documentation again to be accepted by main office as it was declined for a refund. It is now February 20, 2023 and still I have not received a full refund on the months I charged.

I have been having this issue with Crunch for over a year now. I cancelled my account and even received a "Membership cancellation & freeze" document stating that my account was cancelled and that my balance due was $0. I have this email still saved if needed. I then started getting harassed by crunch almost daily about my monthly payment not going through. They were calling and emailing me. I spoke to employees and explained the situation, and even emailed them with the proof of cancellation (I have proof of this email as well). So I was beyond confused why I was still being charged monthly and harassed by them. I emailed corporate, never got a response. I left messages for management, never got a response. Now a year later, my credit gets hit with a collections account and dropped by score over 100 points. This is absolutely ridiculous and unfair. I am a mother of 5 one being special needs, a spouse of a 100% disabled veteran, and I work hard to provide and keep a good credit score. I don't know what went wrong with crunch, maybe a glitch or a mistake in the system, but I should not be getting screwed over like this for their mistake when I have done everything right in the situation.

Monday 4/4 I sign up for this gym. Multiple times the sales person that sign me up manipulated me and lied which has resulted in challenges with my finances I had to have corrected. The girl insisted I only had to pay $0.01 for the first three months and at the end of three months I'd pay the annual fee for like $55. Additionally she asked for my bank routing information and I asked multiple times if it was going to be charged because I didn't want that and she said she only only needed it on file but the credit card I provided would be the only thing charged. All of the above ended up being lies. She used this info to get me to do the membership level I did not want but only got it because she told this info. I ended up getting charged $0.01 AND $10 on my first day to my credit card which I asked about the next day and they apologized for the confusion and I didn't push it. But then today, 6 days later, I got charged $26.86 to my bank account that I didn't want anything charged to. Besides the fact that the gym is way too crowded, this experience has made me feel taken advantage of and this is such sketchy business practice that it makes me not want to be a member at this gym. I tried getting assistance from the location but they did not help me. I want a full refund of everything I've paid for any trainers (those sessions have not occurred yet and I will not be using it) and anything I've paid towards the membership so I can go back to my original gym that doesn't take advantage of their clients and runs their business professionally.

In December 2021, I mailed a letter via USPS Certified mail notifying Crunch Fitness that I was cancelling my membership, effective immediately. The letter served as my formal request to cancel my membership and clearly stated that Crunch was no longer authorized to charge the credit card on file for any purpose. I also requested that someone acknowledge receipt of my request via email within 24 hours of receipt. The tracking and delivery can be confirmed with the United States Postal Service using tracking number: ************************. The letter was hand delivered and signed for on 12/31/2022 at 1:43 p.m. Instead of following the instructions in my letter, Crunch has continued to charge my account monthly. In addition to charging my card, I am receiving frequent emails confirming training sessions that I have not scheduled or agreed upon. Since then, I have sent at least 20 emails to the Kissimmee gym and am yet to receive a response. I am now receiving calls from the collections department at Crunch Fitness, 813-413-4332, stating my account has been sent to collections b/c they were unable to authorize a charge on my card. I sent them a final email on 3/15/22 and copied the persons named as their managers, asking they call respond on or before 3/18/22 to confirm my credit card will be refunded for all frivolous charges and they would discontinue scheduling. They have chosen to ignore my attempts to resolve this issue.
