(1) Date of Original Transaction: December 8, 2021 (2) Original Payment for Imaging: $460.00 (3) Cigna Claim #:*************** (4) AdventHealth Imaging Center Partin Settlement Ref #:******** On December 8, 2021, I went to AdventHealth Imaging Center Partin Settlement for an MRI. At the time of my appointment, my health insurance (Cigna) denied coverage of the imaging, so I paid the full payment of $460.00 using my credit card. I submitted an appeals letter on February 4, 2022 to eviCore Healthcare requesting a reconsideration of a denial of claim ************** for Magnetic Imaging. On April 8, 2022, I received an Explanation of Benefits report from Cigna stating that my MRI was approved. What I owed was $150.00, but this was paid in full on December 8, 2021. Which means that I'm due $310.00 from AdventHealth Imaging. I've been contacting AdventHealth Imaging Center Partin Settlement since May 3, 2022 to receive a refund of the $310.00 with no luck. I've attached documents that include all phone conversations, an Explanation of Benefits report from Cigna and my original credit card charge.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/10/26) */ Patient Name: ************ Date Of Service:*********** Encounter Number: ********* The patient paid $460.00 at the time-of-service in agreeance with the self-pay rate offered, due to the authorization request being denied with *****. The authorization was approved after the exam was completed, we submitted the claim to her insurance and the claim originally denied for no authorization. We appealed the original denial, and the claim was reprocessed. The patient responsibility per EOB is $150.00. The patient was refunded $310.00 on ********** - Check #******** Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2022/11/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Although their response seems weak, I'll accept it. I did receive my refund, but I have to believe that it's because I reached out to the BBB and made a case. I have been communicating with Advent Health for 6 months trying to receive this refund. It's a shame I had to get the BBB involved to get action.
