Summary: Walker Mobility Charged $215 and only credited $180. We were refused service to obtain the scooter rental. I did not cancel but was denied the rental at time of pickup. Details: I contacted Walker Mobility to see about getting my husband a scooter for our Orlando trip 10/15-10/19. After speaking with John the owner I decided to reserve a scooter. He required my credit card for the reservation. I then reserved an email confirmation. On 10/15 we arrived with our plane landing about 1015a. John began calling me after I landed asking what time was I coming. I told him that as I explained in the email we're renting cars from MCO and would be there afterwards. He then called me again before we left the airport to ask what eta did my GPS have to getting to him. I then said he told me they didn't close until evening just as his hours were posted online. He abruptly said he needed to go somewhere at 1145a. I told him we would would rush over. We arrived at 1150a. He began saying, where is the scooter going? There's not enough room! You've got to make room! My husband said to him you are being nasty in talking to my wife like that. (and he indeed was, from the call at the airport until that moment.) John then said, you don't talk to ME like that! Forget it! You're not getting the scooter! Nobody talks to me like that!. My husband said, Come on and let us get the scooter. John said, NO! And you won't find any, anywhere else! We climbed into the car with him saying Get off my property! Repeatedly, John had gone berserk. We went & found what we needed elsewhere & stayed in Davenport in our rental place. John called the next day to say he would let us come back & get it that next day. We had already made other arrangements and I simply said, No thanks! I get home to find he had charged me the full price of the scooter. I contacted him by e-mail & he said he"d refund most but not the $35 cancellation fee. We did NOT cancel, & deserve our full amount refunded. See letter.Business response
