Company continues to throw their newspaper on my property, even after I have, over many years, complained about it by filing previous BBB complaints and calling their Do Not Throw phone line. They stop for a while, and then suddenly resume throwing newspapers at my address. The latest was yesterday, December 14, 2023. Apparently the company suffers from a severely inefficient employee/management communication technique. This problem has been going on for approximately TWENTY YEARS, YES 20 YEARS. I want them to stop throwing their paper on my property and encourage them to develope a better organizational communication method and training technique between their management personnel and employees.Business response

We have independent contractors that throw newspapers to homes. There could be a change in carriers. New carriers are equipped with a list of homes not to throw to but sometimes when they are new until that get used to knowing the route they may make a mistake.

I am rejecting this response because:At no point did their representative offer a solution to the problem, only a vague, possible explanation of the problem. There is a huge difference between the two. Therefore I must believe that it will happen again and again, as it has over the past 20+ years. This also implies that the "throwers" of the newspaper find it much easier to simply ignore the do-not-throw list and just throw the paper as fast as possible out the car window, especially if the throws occur at night or in low daylight. Apparently, there is no feedback of any sort on the performance of the throwers, other than the homeowners complaining. This is where the solution should be sought, some sort of electronic mechanism which will instantly alert the drivers that they are coming up to an address that is off the throw list. Possibly an app utilizing a GPS system could be made, or maybe one already exists which is used for some similar purpose.
