I had surgery in April 2022, which was originally scheduled for earlier in the year. I paid the deductible before the surgery. The surgery was completed. Then months later I get an email from my insurance company, letting me know that there was changes made on my account. I contacted the insurance company immediately and they let me know that celebration orthopedics was submitting a claim, but was submitting the wrong code. That’s why I received the email. I called Celebration orthopedic and told them this, and they have completely ignored what I have been saying.There saying that didn’t happen and I’m wrong. I do not owe an extra $114.42 on top of what I already paid. They submitted the incorrect billing code, and were told this and still haven’t fixed it and now threatening to send me to collections because I am fighting this incorrect billing. I want this rectified immediately I do not owe any extra money to them whatsoever, and even the insurance company said the same exact thing I told celebration of orthopedic this, and they still have refused to contact the insurance company and fix the incorrect code that they entered.Business response

We have spoken to the patient multiple times but the is the hard fact they owe us the balance according to their insurance company. They should not get the chance to smear our reputation simply because they do not want to pay their bill.

I am rejecting this response because:smear your reputation because I don’t want to pay my bill? You’re something else. You sent in the wrong billing code therefore the bill is not correct. Allegiance insurance has even stated you need to fix it not me. I want the name of the supervisor or owner because you’re not going to disrespect people because of your incorrect billing practices.

These are the details for the claim in question, the insurance company did not deny the charge they approved the charges for 4-22-22 and have enclosed the ob. The patient responsibility is $219.75 see eob. The patient paid $105.33 and that leaves a balance of $114.42. That is exactly what we are charging the patient.
We will not write off the charge. It is the patient responsibility per the insurance company.

They will not call me back. I called yesterday and today and they gave me the number for PDM (the collections agency they sent me to). PDM had no record of me and wanted me to call back and ask for my PDM account number, the date sent me to collections (month/ date and year) , their client code with PDM. I did call back as they reported me to a collections agency even though I was working with a lawyer due to a slip and fall.(Travis M******* with***********************). I need this off my credit report ASAP. My credit score has dropped and they have settled and received money from my lawyer and yet they won't tell me the information I need to help the collections agency fix this. ********************************************Business response

Sent patient 8 statements 11-29-17,1/2/18,2/6/18,3/12/18,4/18/18,5/22/18,6/26/18,7/31/18 No reply sent to collections on 8/22/18 since there was no response from patient. Payment was made to collections agency on 3/29/22 for $ 600.75 She filed this report even before we were paid.
