We entered into a contract with this business to complete work in a rental property. The agreement was that they would insulate, build out a bathroom, drywall walls and ceiling, paint, fix cracks in concrete, install tile throughout, install doors and closet doors, base boards and window trims. According to them, they finished the work and left. Words cannot properly describe the horrendous work that they have done. They refuse to finish the work agreed to and have now cut off all communication with us. We are left having to find proper help and pay for work we've already paid for. We are looking for a refund of what they were paid, since we have to redo the work and rebuy materials. Payments to them were for labor only.Customer response

Attached please find the conversation where they stated that the job was complete and left without proper inspection by us. Then a few hours later stating they were leaving the conversation. Once we started to provide PROOF that the "completed" work was SUBPAR they realized that they didn't have a leg to stand on and would have to respond to my messages. In a recorded (verbal text) message they advised that they could go up and work on the property at some point in November, not what originally agreed, and that we would have to be present, also not part of the the original agreement. All things they knew would not be possible when we contracted them, hence them being allowed to stay on the property to complete the work. Also in a verbal text message, they responded with "why don't you have the person taking the pictures do the work if they know so much". I've also attached the message where they advise they will not be responding to messages and will talk, something I was not willing to do considering all the had transpired. It became evident to us that they could not be trusted and having them go back to our property to work any further was not something that we would accept. Since this we have found several items that were improperly done and will require us to redo work and purchase materials again. I am looking to get refunded for the work that clearly was not finished which from the pictures provided.

This is part of one of the last conversations on October 24/2022 that we had with Mrs. ******** on WhatsApp and we never refused to solve any error that existed, they never lost communication with us

The customer dropped off material on October 8, where work was being done. The customer inspected the work and asked for fixes that were completed. The customer was informed via messages that the work would be finished that same week, and the customer was also told that any details needed we would be disposed to fix. Fixes were made. Communication remained between the customer and us throughout the project. Communication was via WhatsApp, photos, and phone calls, and the customer was present at different times at the place of work. At the start of the project, a chat was made that included both the customers and us to maintain both updated because the customer was not a local resident. The customer removed me from the chat, a screenshot has been attached. The customer has a pending balance from the beginning of the contract that still has not been paid and charges for extra work completed.
