VRBO # ********* Florida Fun Tourism # ******* Host *********************** ( ************************** , Unit 302 Rental Condo Sat. 2/17/24 - Sat. 3/2/24 Sun 2/18 text to host 1. Water Heater not working 2.Missing lightbulbs 3. No pool pass Response: would send a technician; someone to come with light bulbs; location of pool pass.Monday2/19 Contacted re: getting technician for hot water. Handyman arrived ... unable to fix it .. . part needed to be ordered and plumber needed Tuesday 2/20 Texted re: water heater progress; noted no light bulbs; no pool passes.Thursday 2/22 Host: thought someone had already fixed it .. said she was "sending specialist " .. promised fix.********* arrived stated unfixable, 2005 original needing replaced earliest Monday 2/26 and if other bids, it could be later Texted host we felt unsafe boiling water and carrying to tubs. Too long too wait ... Our friends joining on Friday 2/23 and already had been 6 out of 14 days without hot water, no definitive answers. Then asked to be credited for the remaining days. Host stated as soon checked out, would send her supervisor to inspect property; would refund remaining days at the same time, depending on the bank. My husband requested name of her supervisor. She stated "talk to her," so to keep recorded in their system. Husband subsequently sent an email stating what he felt was a fair and equitable settlement.Followed host recommendations and left property 1pm on Fri. 2/23. Sent several texts to the host with no response since 2/23/24 through today 3/4/24 ... no credit to our credit card. Inoperable hot water heater on day 1 should have evoked a rapid response and necessitated clear communication to the plan and process of remedy.Located alternative housing on short notice results in our paying double for the remaining 8 days of our vacation. Host lack of communication communicates host has no intention of refunding us for the remaining 8 unused days.Customer response

We have successfully reached a settlement with Florida Fun Tourism which included a refund of unused days and partial rebate for used days.Owner stated she had cancelled future reservations until the problem could be resolved.We are satisfied.Thank you for your help.*********************
