I am an owner at Calypso Cay vacation Villas in Florida. I have owned there for numerous years. Sometime in the last year, unbeknownst to me, ******* ********* bought Calypso Cay. I was never informed of this. At the beginning of February, I received a notice from Calypso Cay. The notice stated that I am in arrears for the amount of $386.66. It stated that I had 30 days from receipt of the notice to pay the amount in full, or the "Association" had intent to record a Claim of Lein against my property. The letter was sent from Kim W*****, phone number 843-238-5000, ext 3323. I have no idea what this charge is for. I have always paid my fees. I attempted to reach Ms. W***** at that number FIVE TIMES, over the course of 2 weeks, leaving a voice message with my owner ID, contract number and phone number. I have NEVER received a return call. Yesterday, I called that number, which actually belongs to ******* *********, and spoke to a man named Chris, in Owner Services. He informed me that he did not see any delinquent amount for $386.66. He stated that I am in arrears of $1785.03 for maintenance fees. I asked when the fees were due and he either could not or would not tell me. He stated that the last time I paid my maintenance fees was in May of 2022. So, how am I in arrears in March of 2023? I never received a bill. I explained my 5 attempts to reach Ms. W*****. After a lengthy wait, he told me that his Vice President, Maria K****** who he reached while I was on that lengthy hold, would reach out to Ms W***** and one of them would call me back in 10 minutes. No call back ever came. I attempted to reach Ms W***** again today, leaving yet another message. I then contacted owner services again, at the same number. I again reached Chris in Owner Services. He stated that he sent the email and was unsure why no one called me. Ms K***** is out of the office today. I want an explanation of the notice I received, and information on my maintenance fees. This is extremely poor customer service. I did not agree to become part of ******* *********, nor do I want to be. My timeshare has been paid in full for many years and my maintenance fees, which continue to increase each year, have been paid. I have the deed to this property and did not give my consent for it to be purchased by ******* *********. I want out of this relationship, and monies for my deeded property, that they supposedly own.

I made reservations through the hotel and received the confirmation # 53243384 for an upcoming November 2021 stay. After going days without receiving a confirmation email as requested, I phoned the Hilton reservations number-yes, this is a Hilton property. The nice representative, Nica, informed me that although I held a reservation, there was no payment on hold and my name was misspelled. She transferred me to the front desk of the property as she sated only the site could make the corrections. Kelly answered three times. Yes, three times and she courteously hung the phone. The last time, she informed me that there was not a manger on duty and that she would not speak with a third-party on the line. The third party was Nica, from Hilton reservations, the customer service agent who called Calypso Cay three times in an attempt to resolve the issue. After no resolve there and Kelly hanging up the last time, in addition to me having wasted more than 30 minutes trying to receive a confirmation, I independently called and left a message for a manager. I was told Darnell was the manager expected in, but I received no call from him. I phoned again, only to be told that he was not on property. The company is demonstrating bad business practices and definitely bait-and-switch type procedures.

Arriving at Calypso Cay Resort on 6/12/2021. We were told we had to pay an extra $25 a night for the resort. That fee that was only in very small print on the paperwork not on the website .Once getting to the room it rained inside of the window and onto my suitcases. Called the first desk and maintenance came too the room and put towels in the window, water pressure was bad in bathroom, foul smelling room, filthy dirty room. So after all this we asked for a different room. We moved to a different room that was mosquito infested couldn't sleep because mosquito were so bad. Asked for a discount and was told that the manager would call us back . Never received a call from management. Mosquito were extremely bad. We checked out early the next day. Went to their vacation club timeshare and was promised airline tickets and free stay. After completing the timeshare meeting. The voucher was found out airline tickets one way and all vouchers had a fee to use.

Re: Account # ************.We wish to cancel our contract with Calypso Cay Resort. We are a retired Veteran and are senior citizens. We were told we would have several benefits that later disappeared. We Started out with Interval International with a gold rating, lost gold rating then changed to RCi. We are required to pay for membership to RCI even though we do not use their service. The ownership & management companies have changed hands several times with minimal or no notification & no option to opt-out because of changes. They hold owner meetings during work week & work hours so there is minimal opportunity for owners to participate in meetings. Unit maintenance & cleanliness has become an issue over the past several years. We emailed them on 1/27/21 to cancel the timeshare and they declined my request. We are unhappy with our relationship with Calypso Cay Resort.
