In 2022 after a medical event I came home to see the nest was broken. I contacted cooks instead of koolz. In severe pain and bleeding I was quoted and pressured to get a unit being told my unit was much older than it was. In my state and this was the beginning of summer in 2022 I wrote a check. No contact from them for 4 months. Once a police report was made they said they would when the got one put it in. All documented. Over 2 years they have not returned calls and now want 1300 more. Please make sure to follow the steps of the attorney general if you have issues.

We purchased a brand new air conditioning and heating system from Cooks around 2019 to the tune of $6K. The unit came with a warranty, which was great, until we found out its because youre going to need it. The blower in our system died at only a year old and it took a good week to get it repaired, after paying for labor. Fast forward two years and the part went out again, this time in June. We paid the $150 service call fee and was told they would 911 the part, which should have us running again in one week. Being June in ******* at more than 100 degrees in our home with dogs and a toddler - we had to seek other lodging. We spent $300 on a hotel, $100 on gas running back and forth to home, and crashed on family members couches to pass the week. Our deadline passed with no word from Cooks. After calling them, we were told the part had no tracking coming from the factory and nobody in the area had one, so they had no clue when it would be here. They wouldnt offer any help, just a we will call when it gets here. We went and spent $900 on window units for our home so we could return because hotels werent practical. A few more weeks pass with routine calls and same answers from Cooks. We asked to speak to a manager on more than 6 occasions and none of our calls were returned. Finally, after another week a manager TEXTED and said they were sorry. Two months go by and still no air in the ******* summer. Another phone call and we were told the part was delivered a month ago but they couldnt find it - funny considering there is no tracking? Found out they waited a month to reorder the missing part, leaving the children and my first responder family member in the heat. More calls and demands to speak to a manager continue to go unanswered.Today, they finally show up to put in the blower and bring a part that doesnt work. I wasted my time sitting with the tech, watched him pour sweat, to find out it doesnt work. Another promise to 911 a new part.

Two gentleman came to my home a year and half ago and installed a ** unit. $12k for this unit. It has done nothing but struggle to keep up which has caused my electric bill to be extremely high. My mother lives with me and deals with extreme aniexty disorders. This ac unit is under her name. She has called it in several times for not working and not cooking down the house at all. Each time a tech has came out they have made my mother feel incompetent and belittled. She calls me frustrated and crying while I'm at work every time. She gets so stressed she doesnt know what to do. So two weeks ago once again we called them out. Shortly after I walk into my garage and my garage ceiling is damaged and falling due to water. I called a plumber and paid $500 to fix the fact that the pipe to that ac unit was completely disconnected and dripping water into the garage, the plumber states it is from the ** company that installed or messed with the unit. I get a called today from ******* parts supervisor telling me that it is not their fault and they will absolutely not cover the $1400 in damages. She continued to question me on why every time my mother that has called in the ac having issues hasnt stated it is causing my electric bill to be high. Obliviously if the ac is over working then the electric bill will be high. But excuse me for my mother not stating that. I asked for a general manager to call me and she tells me she can ask them to but that likely wont happen because they have a thousand customers. I continued to be talked over and just asked over and over to have a general manager to call me. I was made to feel stupid and belittled just as my mother has over and over again. This company does not value their customers and railroads them to spend a high amount for trash. I have asked for over a week what can be done and can someone besides a tech come here and explain to me how its not their fault. But hey the customer doesnt matter here.

Installed new a/c unit, had problem with heating side, came out numerous times, replacing different items to no avail. Finally want $2400. additional money on top of the $9000. Already charged. Fortunately at this time I do not ************* side. So no problem. When cooler weather arrives I fear I will continue to have same problem.

We appreciate ****************** business over the past 10 years, and are sorry to see him suffering from a prevalent issue in HVAC, which is improper ductwork design. This issue has existed since the mobile home was set up. There is nothing wrong with his new unit, but it's tripping its high pressure safety running in heat, because it is only able to move about 2/3rds of the rated airflow due to issues with the original design of the air distribution system, which we weren't involved with. Extensive testing with advanced airflow/pressure measuring equipment indicates that the flexible ductwork under the mobile home as well as the air filter are undersized (both common issues.) We offered to replace the undersized ductwork and add a supplemental air return, and we're waiting for authorization to complete this work, which our testing shows is certain to resolve the issue he was experiencing with operating his system in heating mode. Our price for this work included a discount of $614 in consideration of the inconvenience that this situation has caused to **************.

Company uses deceptive business practices. Requested a quote for a 3 ton AC unit for my home, Cooks was one of six obtained. All quotes had been for 3 ton 16 seer ac units. All quotes had been within several hundred dollars of each other. ***** from Cooks wanted to be the last quote to be submitted and since they had been within the range of the others we agreed to go with them. Day of installation came, installation team had no city permit pulled to do the work. I had to run out and personally get the papers notarized, scanned and emailed back to the company to get the work started. Work was completed 8pm that evening while signing for the work I reviewed the unit numbers to find that I had a 2.5 ton unit and not a 3 ton. Phone call with *****, they had ran the numbers and the house did t warrant a 3 ton. No heads up, no ability to go to the other honest individuals who provided quotes. They said they ran the numbers on my home, without ever stepping into my home and asking questions or taking measurements. Measurements are wrong, they took me completely out of the decision process and install a unit I did not want. Nothing but hassle from them, they are correct just ask them. Obviously the other honest dealers who provided me quotes dont know what they are doing. They advertise 100% satisfaction, no way now to get my old unit back, which was working just fine. This was a bait and switch, I am not satisfied and it hurt the other honest business owners who I didnt go with. How can they compete with another dishonest business owner.

After charging me a weekend diagnostic fee of $135 the tech said that it was a Freon leak which is almost always in the coils which are not covered under the warranty of my three-year-old unit. He then quoted me a price of about $2,500 to repair the unit. He then went into his salesman spill stating that they could take my old unit as a trade-in and get me a brand new unit that I could then make monthly payments on. I told him I would have to think about it. The next day I contacted the warranty company who advised me that they are swindlers because the parts are covered under the warranty and my unit has a warranty of ***************************************************************************************************************************************** my area that were certified and honest. I contacted one who came out the next day stating that the coils were fine and that it was a reversal valve that was bad and that even if it had been the coils they would have been under warranty. Total cost to fix the unit and fill the freon in my 3 ton ** unit $750.
