Wilks Painting was paid on July 18th a deposit of $240 to paint a table and 8 chairs. He said he would come pick up the items on August 5th and that the job would be completed by August 12th. By August 16th, nothing had happened and ** received several excuses for why including that someone else had his trailer and I became concerned that I was dealing with an illegitimate business. So I asked if the work could not be done in the next week, please refund the deposit. **** Wilks assured me the work would be done and asked for the table size which I gave him right away. By August 21st, I hadnt heard anything else so I asked for the deposit to be returned. He said he would refund the deposit but I never hear from him again. My husband got involved by calling him several times. He told my husband hed return the money before the end of the week (first week of September) but the money wasnt refunded and he stopped answering my husbands calls and texts. I waited 6 weeks, my husband tried to contact him one more time and heard nothing back, and so then posted a review on his business ******** page. He immediately responded saying he would return our little deposit and asked me to have my husband contact him again. But when my husband did, **** said he wouldnt refund our money until I removed my negative review from his business page. I will happily remove the negative review once our money is refunded. I have screenshots of all conversations via ******** messenger, text, and ******** business page as well as the receipt showing the deposit was paid. I would be happy to email them.
