4-22-2020 Lewis Roofing put a metal roof on our home at a cost of $8,960.00. At the time it was put on my wife was very sick, I am her caregiver. The crew of three ******** took down gutters across a deck where she is able to get outside on, threw them down and did not replace them. I was able to salvage some of them, however the others must have been thrown away. I have contacted Lewis Roofing for over two years to have them replace the gutters, my wife has also contacted them on numerous occasions. We are told they are looking into it. We keep getting the run around. You would think after almost three years something would have been done. I have had to replace our back door where the rain beats against it at a cost of over $1400.00.

Attached is the original contract signed by *** ******* which does not have the gutters included, you can tell by the coloring that the gutters were fraudulently written on there after the fact on the customers copy of the contract. Also attached is the certificate of completion signed by *** ******* at the completion of the job certifying that the job was completed to satisfaction. This roof was installed almost 3 years ago and the gutters have just recently been reported as an issue. In addition to the attached documents he told our 2 of our employees on site that he wanted the gutters removed which the customer admitted was true to our Residential VP **** *******. In an attempt to appease the customer Mr. ******* offered to come out and put the gutter back up, even though it is not included in the contract and the customer requested they be taken down, however *** ******* said he had thrown the gutters away and wanted us to provide all new gutters. ***** ****** Roofing requests that this complaint be voided and closed due to the fraudulent information.

In our previous response dated 2/3/23 we stated all the information regarding this issue. There is no further information and the customer signed off on the certificate of completion stating that the job was satisfactory. Please resolve and close out this complaint.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  As I stated before, I am my wife's caregiver and 85 years old.  At the time she was very sick.  I signed that the roof was completed and paid them.  The rep named **** that I was dealing with told me that they would see about putting the gutters back up.  I took him at his word.  When dealing with a person who is representing ***** ****** Roofing you would think you could take their word that they will do what they say.  My wife called many times to speak to *** ******, but he was never in.  Had I known you could not believe the word of ***** ****** Roofing I would never have signed and paid them until the gutters were put back up.   Also there has been several lies about this.  Of the three ******** who did the work I only spoke to one the whole time they were here.   Trawick said he offered to come put them up, that I  wanted new gutters.  Not true.  **** said he would see about getting them put back. Never did. I guess they got their money so that is all that matters.  I wonder if *** ****** would approve of dishonest employees who take advantage of old people?

      Regards,

      **** *******

In roughly Sept of 2021 my roof started leaking for the second time. Since they replaced it. I have contacted the business multiple times (******** ******* *** ********). After many attempts they finally came and completed the exterior work but have failed to resolve the interior issue.
