I bought a used boat from them,9 months later my boat is still not registered to me, they keep telling me any day now .I am now forced to take legal action Just to be able to use my boat.Review from Jamie W

I ordered paint from them and they gave me multiple excuses for a month why it never came in. It's been two weeks since I asked for my money back. Still no refund.They want Money up front to order something of course. Disabled veteran on a tight budget and they have excuses but still no refund.Review from Christopher F

I am dealing with a nightmare similar to other reviewers below. We went into Boater's World in 2022 to purchase a brand new BlackFin 272cc. We didn't realize until we were signing the paperwork for the boat, that we were buying a used 272cc with 26 hours on it. The finance rep at the time told us we were getting a better deal on the used boat because they were adding two warranties on top of the factory warranty. One was a Platinum warranty that supposedly covered everything from bow to *****. The other warranty was supposed to protect the hull (Ceramic coating). Since buying the boat; we have had numerous issues with the boat, including a critical temp alarm, bow light not working, main bilge pump coming on and staying on for extended periods. Every time we have returned the boat, we are told basically that either the warranty doesn't cover the issue we are having or that we are due for a 300 hour service even though the boat only has 124 hours on it. It was presented to me as they could not consign the boat until this issue is resolved. Our hull is currently stained after only being in the water a total of two months. The first response from the dealership was, oh yeah that should be covered under the hull warranty. But as with other issues we encountered, nothing gets done or said as far as rectifying the situation. This boat purchase has been a nightmare from day one. No attorney wants to touch the case because of the fact that they say Boater's World is so protected by their paperwork, they will just drag the consumer through court until they give up. I feel like it is beyond amazing that nothing is done to protect consumers from these practices. Our boat has been on their lot on consignment for the past 5 months and in the meantime we are taking a severe financial hit on a boat that we don't trust and cannot seem to sell. Just over a year of dealing with these issues I am taking a 40k loss, plus having to maintain payments on a boat that we are stuck with.Review from Marc B

My experience with Boaters World Marine Centers in *********, Florida, has been a nightmare since the 2023 boat purchase. The owner's son, the salesperson, lacked knowledge, selling the wrong boat. The dealership, protecting the son, shifted blame to the manufacturer.The boat, intended as a family toy, spent 8 months in the shop within the first 11 months. Frequent management changes created chaos, and *******************************, the President, hid, resorting to strong-arm tactics. Public disclosure prompted some resolution but not acknowledgment.Unauthorized credit report access 11 months later worsened the situation. Seeking apology and compensation was dismissed. ********* leadership sets a tone of unreliability. GM **** blamed coworkers, further damaging trust.Executive Director *** intervened at 11 months, but trust was lost. The dealership is untrustworthy. *** knows my request for resolutiontake the faulty boat back or compensate for damages. A public apology is essential to rebuild trust.Family members, including ********* son, should learn the products sold. All employees, family or hired, should be treated equally. This should extend to problem resolution without job threats for hired employees. Boaters World Marine Centers must make things right in the community.Review from kevin W

UN don't walk from this place !! Better yet don't waste your time going there. I bought a new 20 foot sun tracker pontoon in 2019 and when it was delivered it had a stain they couldn't get out , they called Sun Tracker and they told them to replace the floor cover. They said they would order the material and call me when it comes in and they would pick it up and start the job.... six months and many calls later i'm told the covering wasn't even ordered, fast forward another six months and they say it's in and they will pick up the boat. They pick it up and 3 months later they say its ready. They drop it off and when we inspected it we noticed things were not reinstalled , broken , scratched and dented. The service manager said they would pick it back up and replace or fix what THEY screwed up.They would pick it up AGAIN and by then COVID was their out for the delay on getting parts. I wait another 6 months of no returned phone calls , emails or texts. when i finaly get some one to answer the phone, i'm told the service mgr no longer worked there so the new one said to send him pictures of all the things they messed up on .... this is the 4th time i had to take and send pictures. He get back to me and says THOSE parts were never ordered, mind your this is now almost a year of waiting on the parts they needed because of their inept ability to repair their mistake issues. i call back months later only to be told THAT service mgr is gone and the new person can't find the work order that is now 2 years old. After 4 years i got the boat almost back to where it should have been and have just stopped letting them TRY to get it right.Review from Karl F

Had my boat on consignment with them - never could get a hold of them-would not return calls - very poor business - recieve my boat back - battery was dead - they had chipped my paint and knocked a ***** out- will be reporting to better business bureau.Very dissatisfied with their service.Review from Joseph T

so I purchased a ****** dollar boat that is damaged in 30 places after the weekend was was over I went on and told them I wanted to return the boat and was informed that I couldn't return it but they would make it right 100%..my boat looks like it was damaged during transportation or during a hurricane or during the hail storm..I couldn't see it unitil I got home because the boats were so close together its impossible to see but when purchasing a new boat you wouldn't really think it's damaged all over that's the whole point of buying a new boat..so after a couple months of waiting I went in there to see what's going on and I got no answer..so I emailed ***** b on September 8th and waited 3 weeks for a response never got one so I went in there and his word for word was I got the email but I didn't read it..wow 3 weeks and u never opened it ..your a real great one to have runing the show up there..he then said I'll go check on it so I said ok ill wait and then he said we'll I didn't mean I was going to do it now so he said I'll call you ..so as of today still no response..only is my boat damaged all over but the guides for trailer fell off driving down the highway thank good it didn't cause a accident and kill someone ...they never tightend them down they were only finger tight..the rigged the trailer with a nut to a bolt and tape so that you can back boat up well it fell off and I couldn't back my boat up because it kept locking up on me I go in to see what's wrong and they said oh you have to buy a key for that..smh you would think a brand new trailer would come with what it needs after all it is brand new...so I was supposed to get platinum on my seats and when I picked boat up I asked if they put it on and they said yes of course so I got to looking at the seat and it still had black marker on every seat I wipe it with my thumb and it came off so I asked the guy how could the of put platinum on if marker still on here..he finally admitted they didn't apply itReview from Kevin C

I purchased a brand new Mako 17 foot center council on June of 2020. The boat only gets used in the summer time and sits the other 5 to 6 months out of the year.*** never had issues with the boat until last week, July of 2023. After checking the boat I found the manual pump to be bad. So I decided to take the boat to Boaters World service department in ***********, ** where I purchased the boat. Being that it was under warranty and I had extended warranty I thought that they would replace the fuel pump at no charge. After dropping the boat off I was called the following day with an estimate to repair the boat for $2,900. Being that the boat has only 60 hours on it I couldnt understand why I was given a $2,900 estimate and told that the pump wasnt covered under the warranty. So I decided to pick the boat up and order a factory OEM pump and replaced it myself. After I replaced the pump the boat ran fine with no issues. I found that the old pump was defective. I than took the pump and my estimate of $2,900 back to the service center and asked them to explain to me why I was being charged so much when I fixed the boat for $139. I was given an explanation of the estimate to replace parts that didnt need to be replaced. That didnt make sense to me. I definitely feel that I had not been able to fix the boat myself they would of gotten me for the $2,900. I could only imagine how many other people this has been done to. Sadly I wont t be using Boaters World for any future baiting needs. Beware of their service department practices. VERRY BAD BUSINESS.
