We had Florida Window and doors install our windows and doors in 2022. They have had to come out here just about my French doors at least 5x. The doors always get stuck and you can't get out without relentless effort. They've changed the door, and the lock, they have done nothing else to figure out the actual problem bc it keeps continuing to happen. In the contract it states if they come out 5x or more for the same issue, you're free and clear from the contract!! This is ridiculous! I shouldn't have to continue to call to have my doors fixed all the time!!Business response

Have been trying to get a resolution since January. Front door does not close completely. Have already had water intrusion. I purchased new windows and doors for my 3k sq ft house and 75% have had issues from water intrusion, no sealing to warped clown glass that you cannot see through properly. I have an endless string of emails and phone records to ********************************* and no answers.Business response

If the cancellation was after the permitted cancellation period we will adhere to the terms of the contract. We obviously reject the assertion of being unethical as we have been in business for many years and maintain a sterling reputation among the thousands of customers we deal with annually.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: *********** did not address any of the 8 issues reported and it should be noted that their sales person ****, reported that she did not have the required permit from *************** . When I asked her what to do she replied " It is up to you", I then replied for the 5th time cancel the project, she replied " yes I am" and proceeded to cancel.

First and foremost, for the customer to suggest that we have improper ethics is absolutely outrageous and deserves no response. In reference to the permit we do NOT install any job without an approved permit from the municipality. The terms of the contract the customer signed are specific both in terms of the delivery timeframe as well as the required approvals. In reference to the communication, or the claim that there is none we would highly disagree as at every milestone of the project the customer is sent a text indicating what is going on with their job in addition to that text we have a Florida Window and Door app. that the customer at their discretion can add to their phone for additional and more frequent updates. Finally, in reference to the request to cancel the cancellation policy is three business days after the execution of the contract. Should the customer cancel after those three days the penalties for cancellation are clearly outlined in paragraph #1 on the back of the contract in terms and conditions.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: i have on numerous responses indicated that I spoke to their employee **** that the agreement had to be canceled because it was never finalized because the permit from *************** had not been received. I asked **** what I should do, she said "its up to you" I the said Cancel the agreement and she replied I have canceled it, in addition, prior to this I called their sales person ***** 5 times and never got a reply. Because of this lack of communication my request to cancel this agreement was not communicated, finally when I communicated with **** she said the salesman was no longer with the company. This explains why my request to cancel this agreement was not received. This was one example of the lack of communication from this company who also jacked up their price from $7000 to $13000, another example of their corrupt ethics. I will not under any circumstances deal with such a corrupt company.Business response

Purchased 10/23/2023, installation occurred Jan 29 2024 to Feb 2, 2024. The first time they sent out a repair person was April 11 to fix the handle. He was able to secure it, slightly, but explained it would continue to happen. Company called 5/3 to schedule another repair, since the company had not called. Suppose to have a repair person May 9 between 10a to 2p, No show, No call....multiple messages left including a message for ******* the Project Coordinator. At this time, I want a new sliding glass door to replace the faulty one that was installed, I do not want it to be continually repaired when I purchased a new slider. I would appreciate any assistance in the manner. Thank youBusiness response

I am rejecting this response because: I did FINALLY receive a call after leaving another message today, 5/13. They are sending someone out to address the loose handle. Until the handle is fixed or replaced, this issue is not resolved.

Had Florida Window and Door install all doors and window in our home that were damaged from Hurricane **** Sales assured me before signing contract that all drywall damage would be repaired, textured annd ready to paint (See pictures). During the installation process notified company that 2 of the panels on sliding doors were scratched. Company says if you can not see from 10 away the manufacturer will not replace. I can see scratches from farther that 10 away and the company needs to replace. I did not purchase damaged sliders to be installed. Asked person for their legal department phone number and he refused to provide me the number.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I have been told the same thing. They will have a manager call me or, They will call me back by the end of the day. I have called and also received an email that they are not replacing the scratched panels before I even contacted Better Business. I am exhausting all efforts for the company to do what is right before I pay to get legal representation for this issue. I have requested that the company replace the 2 scratched panels that were installed with scratches that can be seen. I did not spend over $50,000.00 for new/ scratched sliding doors from Florida Window and Door.

I signed a contract with Florida window and door company on 3-14 2023 to replace front door that my insurance company mandated to be with in the hurricane code compliant for them to continue my policy. The contract was specific on performance of contract. ( installation of front door) that 12 to *********************************** the contract. I called the company after 34 weeks 11-08-2023 which time they informed me that the company is waiting on the door and they would get back to me. Meanwhile my insurance was cancelled due to high risk to front door not meeting Florida code. I called Florida window and door on 12-08-2023 which is 40 week since the contract signed and 28 week after the promised door installation. After calling the company again I sent a notorized letter of cancelation due to non performance. I did not hear back from the company until I received a letter from a lawyer demanding payment for the instalation and the door. Shortly after that I received a letter with documents that Florida window and door filed a lien against my house. The company has never contacted me except for demand of payment. They have not responded to any of my messages that I left. My consumer lawyer advise me to buy the door but I can not get anyone to respond. I feel that they have abused the contract, abused the lien law and they acting as a predator against consumer.Business response

They will not stop calling me I get about ten call per day and I have blocked most of their numbers so I end up with a ridiculous amount of voice mails always from a different person. And even when I was awnsering the calls and asked them to put me on a do not call list seems like it falls on deaf ears.Business response

Florida Window & Door is illegally calling me with telemarketing calls. They've done it some months ago, and I told them I have no need for their business and to not call me again. Yesterday they called me three times, each three hours apart. Today they called me three times, each three hours apart. They've left multiple voicemails. This is illegal. I have been on the *** Do Not Call list for many years. I have reported the phone number to the ***, in addition to this complaint.There is no way I would EVER use Florida Window & Door. This "marketing" campaign is a harassment campaign that is scaring away potential customers. I definitely have the impression that Florida Window & Door is an unethical business.Business response
