To start off Fr I got in a car accident that lead me to be hospitalized for almost a month . I got out trying to do the right thing by paying fees that was pending against me and trying to get my car out of the tow yard. At the time I used my last check to get my car out the tow yard and was trying use my roadside assistance to tow the car back to my yard . I paid almost 2000 to get my car out and couldnt because my tow assistance refused because they dont tow total lossed cars which now have lien on my license plate because my car was auction off which now have me in a situation that dont have the money for to fix I would like you guys to contact me so I explain more of the situationCustomer response

KW Wrecker tows for Martin County ************ as such we have to follow the laws that govern how and when we deal with releasing a vehicle back to the owner. KW Wrecker followed the law in pertaining to this customers car. KW per law sent out the **rrect lien letter to the owner and/lien ** on this car. Certified return receipt to each one explaining the time limit and the amount it would take to allow the owner with the proper ID on how to get the vehicle out prior to the car going to auction. The owner came in a few days before the car was to be up for auction. We spoke with her and agreed to give the owner more time and held the car. She said she was trying to arrange for her motor club to tow the car, unfortunately we did not hear back from the owner again. Since we pulled it from the auction KW had to resend out the lien letters again and wait another 33 days and reset up the car for auction, due to the owner not **ntacting us and never **ming back to get the car in the xtra time she was given. This caused KW an additional storage charges and a se**nd set of paperwork **st. The lien on her plate/drivers license is to her lack of picking up her car and/or **ming back in and working out the situation with KW, and per law her car was auctioned off and the lien went forward.
KW always tries to work out these situations as best we can, but since we never heard back from her we had no choice but to process the unit as abandoned. KW however, did lower the amount of the lien and settled it with the owner so she will not have a problem getting another license or plate over this matter in the future. We do not understand why she put a **mplaint into the BBB in the first place since this was ac**mplished
