I paid $6000 to have engine rebuild by 1 stop auto, engine fails after 500 miles.Took it back they claim my block had a crack in it and that's why it failed. But I was charged for having the block cleaned and checked before a rebuild which should be done to find any imperfections before you rebuild. If that was the case the imperfections were have been found before the rebuild.Or the new parts that were installed by the shop were installed incorrectly ***** engine failed. Only 2 reasons why the engine would fail. So they bought an engine to rebuild it and when I went to pick it up 5 months later they charged me $900 supposedly because they had a "machine shop" do most of the block work which they should have paid for it themselves not me. But when I asked for a receipt of the "machine shop" they could not provide one. They gave me a receipt from there shop not the machine shop. They had bought a block to replace mine but he said it was the wrong one Cost him $450.He found another one for about same price he claims and that one worked. I believe the $900 they charged me was for the 2 blocks that they had to purchase to make it right. So basically I paid for their lost. When I got the car back most of the suspension parts were loose or missing. Also paid them $275 to fix the a/c system which also failed after 2 days,I took it back to them twice and still it failed on me. The appropriate work and procedures were never done correctly from this so called professional shop. I have all my receipts and text with the owner on file. I took the car to a air conditioning shop and the system has a leak in it. But 1 stop auto claims they did a vacuum check on the unit Which is false. After both builds when I got the vehicle back I found alot of loose suspension parts and missing parts that I'm sure they found laying around the floor.They also reuse my engine oil and filter when build was completed instead of purchasing fresh new oil and filter.That says alot about this business.
