I had a sun porch built on to my mobile home after the old one got blown away from the hurricane ***. it cost 30,000$. Since it was finished in August 2023 there has been a continuous leak in the roof and several stains around the window ledges which I was told to be from the foam installation. The company at first was out here several times but nothing was fixed. Now I call and they ignore me. I just want it fixed.

Yes there are repairs to be corrected, we do not deny this. However, we have scheduled appointments to be at this property on 3 separate occasions directly with the homeowner to address the repairs and the homeowner either did not answer the door upon arrival, nor did she answer the phone when my service tech called her as he was en route. We are always here to stand behind our work and address any concerns, issues, or repairs with the project but we need access and permission to enter the room. We ask the homeowner to please reach out to us any time M-F from 7am-5pm at any of the following phone numbers or email addresses, and we WILL schedule our service tech immediately.

Contract signed 11/17/2022. Shed repairs due to hurricane in Sept and Oct 2022. $1,600.00 deposit paid on 11/17/22. Salesman from Jack Hall Jr by the name of Troy N******* said work would begin in 120 days. It has been 6 months. Nothing has even been started. Tried calling and texting him several times. He would not respond. Started calling their office. He finally called me back last Weds. Was rude on the phone. Told me they were currently one year out on all repairs. Then he proceeded to tell me he had not called me back to fight on the phone. I asked to get out of contract. He said I would owe them $2,000.00 for the retarping and bracing of the wall. I have photos of the retarping. They retarped from the outside. Every time it rained the tarp would hold all the water until it finally broke and flooded the shed. They came and retarped very poorly. Every time it rains my shed is flooded. Any remaking items I had in there are completely destroyed. There are openings everywhere. I want to get my deposit back and refuse to pay for the horrible retarping job. Jack Hall Jr. Company became very greedy and took on too many jobs for the staff they have. To quote someone 4 months on a job then refuse to return calls and then tell me it would be a year is just plain wrong. Companies should not be permitted to do this. I have hired another contractor todo my job. I just want absolutely nothing to do with this company. I have enclosed pictures of the tarping job they did. These pictures after they did the great tarping job.

On March 16th of 2021, I had our pool cage refurbished. I had actually put down a down payment of $1500 on December 14,2020, but they could not get to my pool cage until 2021 (after many calls to the company). The job was finally finished and the balance paid on March 25, 2021 and looked beautiful. I wrote a glowing review. I should have waited. After several rainy days, I noticed that many of the screws they had replaced were starting to show signs of rust. I have been calling them since then (it is now March 2022) to try to get someone out to my home t correct the problem (which I was told was just a matter of the screws being "screwed too tightly" and they just needed to be "painted over". I had never heard of this and the screws that they took out lasted years (since 1995) before any showed signs of rusting - definitely NOT within a few months and some rain! I am so angry that I paid $6,500 for this awful job and horrible customer service.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/24) */ We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Much like every construction company at this time, we are incredibly backed up and behind on not only out service repairs but our active jobs. The fasteners we used are the highest quality we can get and the paint does sometimes rub off when they screw is placed in the driver bit to install it. This happens with every fastener. During the removal of OLD fasteners they tend to break off so we can only place new ones beside the old ones and then paint them when we are unable to remove the old. I will personally make sure this service repair is scheduled ASAP and we will replace any fasteners that need done. We always warranty our work and it is stated on every work order that the customer has a minimum of a 1 years labor warranty and we always extend that warranty beyond 1 year for our customers. We do make mistakes from time to time, that is just part of doing business. But we will ALWAYS be here to stand behind our work and materials. Someone from service will contact the customer to schedule no latter than Friday 3-25-22 as today (Thursday 3-24-22) we are expecting rain most of the day and if so, we cannot use power tools in the rain. We will contact you ASAP to schedule. Again so sorry for your inconvenience, Dan - GM Jack Hall Jrs Construction & Aluminum Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/03/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Will came out today and corrected most of the screw issues. He was honest that the screws are ceramic coated, will rust eventually again, and that not "all" screws could be replaced as stated in the original written agreement. He did replace about 50 of the rusted screws. I appreciate his honesty and, although I am still miffed that I had to deal with this issue since May of 2021 (almost a year of trying to get someone to do something to correct the issue), I am satisfied with the work that was done today and the honesty of the worker.

On January 6, 2022 this company finished the screened porch that we waited 6 months for them to build it, the job was paid for with a check that was cashed the same day. However a few days after rained and came to find out that the roof leaks, we reported it right away, they said that they will come to fix it. Every time it rains, the roof starts leaking and it rains inside the porch, therefore we haven't been able to furnish it or fully enjoy it because they have failed to fix the problem. Over a moth has passed, and we have called several times and they keep saying that they will come and they don't. The last time we called we were told that they will come on 2/2/2022 and they didn't show up or called to let us know that they would not come, we once more time called to find out what happened, and once again they said that they would come on 2/5/2022 and one more time they didn't showed up or called to let us know anything. This people got paid in full for the job done, and the least they could do is hold up to their words and rectify the issue. I bet that if we didn't pay them on time or in full they would be on us every single day. So far their customer service is horrible, and the guys in the upper management are very rude when we call to ask them to rectify their mistake. This job cost us almost $27,000, and the least we expect is to get it right.

      Business response

      03/09/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/08) */ Firstly we would like to apologize for any inconvenience we have caused for the homeowner/client. The timeline of the extended wait was stated on the contract signed by the customer. We in the construction industry are incredibly backed up and far busier than we have ever been due to various reasons such as inability to procure materials and sheer volume of contracted jobs. We always inform new clients of this extended lead times. We have been in contact with them for service and we fully intend to address the leaks when we are able schedule it. Again, we are just very backed up. The contract they signed has a states that we offer a one Year labor warranty stated on all of our work orders and we often extend that warranty far beyond one year because we take care of our clients to the best of our abilities and we like them to contact us again for future projects. Those repairs MUST be done on a dry day without rain in the forecast for the leaks to be repaired properly with the type of roof sealant we use. This client also had their own homeowner/builder permit and engineering for us to work from which is atypical as we always draw, engineer and permit our own work. So we took this job on from another failed contractor whom they cancelled with. I have personally spoken with the homeowner attempting to explain why we are unable to final the permit because it is NOT in our companies name, as it is in their name so the building department will not allow us to address any issues with the permit/inspections. I am also working to try and sort that out so our company can take over the permit and do what it takes to complete the inspection cycles required as a courtesy to them. So today, Tuesday 2-8-22 we are forecasted with rainy weather once again but after the rain passes we will schedule our leak repair specialist to go address the leaks and any other concerns the customer may have. For nearly 40 years we have always stood behind out work and materials, but again we need a bit of patience and dry weather to get it worked into the service schedule. I have attached two photos before and after build for reference. Weather permitting, absolutely WILL schedule service repairs this week at the latest by Friday 2-11-22.
