I signed up for a 6 month membership and paid upfront in full because I specifically did not want any month to month payments or memberships. Once it was done I either would resign up or no obligations. I initially went in in April 2023, and spoke with an employee whom pointed out where to sign "here here and here" and asked for a card on file, I specifically asked why if it was not needed..I paid in full she said we just have to have one on file but said nothing would ever come out without my consent, because I paid in full for a clear as day 6 month contract..6 month passes and I just truly never got back to the gym as much as i could distance and traffic too far, so I assumed it would end and I would be done there. 3 months past contract end date and I noticed 3, $175 charges had been coming out of my debit account monthly after my contract..Oct/Nov/Dec 2023. I assumed an error, called them twice left voicemails - no call back, I ended up having to write an email asking what was going on and to please stop drafting ANYTHING from my account I never authorized anything and to see my contract. I was sent my contract and very rude email response saying "You signed here see section this and that...where she referred to a specific section where a amount was LEFT BLANK and it states once your membership is up your membership will be drafted this blank amount month to month unless you cancel. Well the specific section she was referring to was left blank. Yet the initial was at the bottom of the page. I responded advising this confirms the employee never discussed this or even input a agreed to amount where it was left blank to authorize month to month debits...confirming I was not aware nor agreed to any amount. She responded with more jumping around the contract trying to justify the invalid contract to stand on this when in reality it was a 6 month membership paid in full for a reason and no more. I just want my three months after membership refund in full $525.
