On April 27, 2023 I paid Lakeland Generator Services (LGS) of Lakeland a deposit ********** of $6427.20 for a home generator that has yet to be installed as of today October 15, 2023. I have reached out to the company multiple times, and was last told by a manager Eric B**** that the holdup for installation is with the permitting office in Auburndale. In June and July of 2023 I called The Aburndale permitting office and they told me that LGS has not yet begun the permanent process. I have been lied to by Mr. B**** on several occasions over the course of seven months regarding his position with the company claiming he was the owner, that he fired the employee responsible for the lies and he would send me a full refund check. When I didn’t receive the check in two weeks, I contacted him and he claimed the owner needed to sign the check and admitted he was not the owner. I call on the weekly basis and continue to be given one excuse after another for the reason I have not received the check yet. When I first contacted LGS for the generator the reason is because I live alone with my 88-year-old mother who has dementia, and I did not want to go through the hurricane season worrying about losing power. I need and want my money back from this company.
