6/26/2023 I entered into a contract with Conner Home Improvements to put new siding and gutters on my home. On this date I gave him a check for $15,500 for him to purchase materials on my behalf. I was in touch with him through text messages and he always said he was coming next week to do the job. After 4 months of broken promises and no material I gave him a completion date of November 4,2023 or I wanted my money back. Communication stopped and I am out $15,500.Initial Complaint

I contracted with C***** in April 2022. He was to enclose back porch with windows and door and install front storm door. Front storm door was not installed properly and despite numerous requests, never fixed. Back porch never started. C***** will not return calls or texts. He is holding $3,000.00 deposit still. He will not do the work or return deposit. I am a 68 yr old disabled woman. He is a terrible person. Conned by C*****Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/10/12) */ We contracted with Ms********* in April for Acrylic windows and a storm door. She was told that the windows would take several months to get in and had to be special ordered. In the mean time we installed a storm door which she claims was installed wrong but the problem was she was unable to operate the door. Brad agreed to install a different door so it would be easier for her to operate but it also would have to be ordered. As of now the windows have arrived but she has contacted an attorney and demanded her money back and to cancel the contract which is not possible. These windows were special order and we are stuck with these windows and door which does not even cover the $3000.00 deposit that she put down. We are not willing to give her money back or cancel the contract. We can proceed with the job with the 2nd draw of $3000.00 if she would like. But we will not be left holding windows that we can not use, Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/10/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) CHI is not being truthful about the front storm door and why it had to be replaced . It is still in place as installed and obvious that it was not installed correctly. I have 3 independent witnesses who watched the entire installation. I was promised a new door right away but Brad C***** kept promising to order and install it. As far as the materials are concerned, I was told it would be weeks NOT months to order and install. I will be getting a written opinion to you and pictures showing the front door is damaged by installer and incorrectly stalled. Mr C***** has a reputation for grifting people and there are other complaints against him. His Answer is less than truthful and as I stated. I have eyewitnesses regarding this matter. He made himself unavailable when I tried to contact him, but I saved the texts which show Mr C***** being less than truthful. I believe I should be refunded the $3,000 I paid him in good faith. He never said anything about ordering windows to me and he knew I was unhappy with the one installation of the front door. I honestly do not believe a word of what he says. I want my money back. I'm a snowbird. In Nov. i signed a contract with Conner Home Improvement to have all new windows in my Florida room, 6 new windows in my home, and screen in my car port. The day we signed, Brad said they could have the car port screened in by Christmas. Well after many calls and complaints, I finally asked if I had just kissed the $ 7000 deposit goodbye, on March 28 they finally started screening in the car port. On March 30 Brad told me they had the windows for the house. I have called every day to see when they are going to start. I have talked to other contractors who said these windows are readily available so the job could have been done months ago. Before March 1 I told Brad I needed to go back up north On April 1. I have extended my departure but can not stay much longer. I call every day,but Brad does not return my calls. To people looking for a contractor Conner Home Improvement isn't the only contractor in Polk county.Initial Complaint

I paid to have frosted glass window installed in bathroom, but got clear instead. I am getting the runaround from owner about changing it. I paid for frosted glass.
