I was looking for yard services and went on ****/**** ******* to seek assistance from a business on their platform since they do background clearances etc. and have I used them before with no issues. I was contacted by Denny who's name is Dennis D* ***** ****, owner of Landscaping Kingz LLC. We set a day for him to come clean my front yard and quote me on how much he would charge to cut down a tree. Since I had other yard work that needed attention immediately, I had him quote a price to do that instead. After looking at the work, he said he needed a larger dumpster and also quoted to grind a tree stump as well. He said he would need the money from me to rent the equipment in which I agreed to pay for, and that he would reach out to me the following day to schedule for him to come. He contacted me the next morning, bright and early, and quoted the amount needed, with screenshots of equipment pricing, to secure before he can do any work. I sent him the money for the equipment via Cash App with a promise to pay the remaining balance once work is completed. I chose for him to come on Wednesday morning and we were set, so I thought. I sent a text the day he was due to come and he said they didn't have the equipment and I asked that he let me know the status once he knew. I didn't hear from him the rest of Wednesday nor did he follow up on Thursday so I contacted him via text Friday morning and since he didn't reply I called, where he immediately text that he would call me back, he never did. I text again later in the evening informing him that I found someone who can do the work and since he didn't rent the equipment nor start the yard work, I asked for him to refund the money I sent totaling $366. He said it's non refundable (he never disclosed that information prior to me sending my money or I wouldn't have sent it) and then claimed he didn't receive it anyway. I am being scammed out of my money for work he never even started and want a refund or I will press charges.
