Name is *************************** .sunstar denied me and sent me to another location causing me to go unresponsive due to severe dehydration and they ended up making me loose my cell phone wallet money and shoes and I want to get my things paid for and I hired a attorney had to go to another hospital for treatment .               I talked to SunStar today because my friend had paid in advance for a year's worth of service for her 92 year old husband. They have paid over $7000 over the past few years for service for him, so this seemed like a good idea. The contract started April 1st. The husband has been in the hospital since June and passed in July. Money is very tight, and while a refund would not have been much, every little bit helps. They also would not transfer the contract to her name for the next 8 months. For people in the patient care industry, they were totally unconcerned about my friend's position. Too bad there are not more choices for ambulance service here.

              Deepest sympathy regarding the passing of your friend. The information you were provided does align with the current 2021 FirstCare member contract that is signed by each member. Paragraph 10 of the contract outlines Refunds. "REFUNDS: I acknowledge that Membership fees are non-refundable and are used to cover the cost of administering the Membership plan and processing my application. I am therefore not entitled to any refund of monies paid to Sunstar under this agreement after the agreement's effective date. Membership is not transferrable." We certainly do sympathize with your friends situation and will forward this feedback for consideration when planning for future member agreement/enrollment periods.
