I went to this company on April 8, 2022 because my oil light was on, so I thought my oil just needed to be changed. The light was still on when they were through so the manager of the shop said it was probably my oil pump or a sensor. The cost of the oil change was $42.49. I called a mechanic to schedule an appointment that same day. After returning home I went back outside and noticed oil was leaking from under the car. The car was not leaking before taking it into this shop. On April 9, 2022, I took it to my mechanic. That afternoon he called and stated the drain plug in my oil pan had been stripped out by whomever had done the oil change and this was causing the oil to leak and spray out around it. He advised me the oil pan would need to be changed since the hole was stripped. I picked up my car on April 11, 2022 and paid the amount of $544.99 for the work that was done. The oil light was just a sensor that they fixed for nothing. I called Chevron xpress lube on April 13, 2022 to let the Manager know what happened. He said he would call the owner and let him know. I called again on April 19, 2022 when I did not receive a response. I received a call from the owner on April 21, 2022. We spoke and he said I should have brought the car back there to have it fixed. I explained that after they caused the leak I did not want to them working on it again. He stated he would watch the video of when the oil change took place to see what happened and would call me back later that day or the next. As of May 24, 2022, I have not heard anything from him. I feel they should compensate me for the Oil Change and the money I had to spend with my mechanic.
