I purchased a puppy from All About Puppies on 9/7/23 at 11a.m. An hour or 2 after purchasing her, I noticed she was having breathing issues. I called the store and was told to contact customer service, so I did. **************** said it was ok to take her back and have the girls there see what they thought was going on since she had been with them prior and to call back and let them know what was said. At 5pm I went back to the store with the puppy and was told I could go to their vet service which information was provided in the purchase packet. **************** called me and I let them know that I would be taking her to the vet. I took her to Lakeland animal clinic on 9/9/23 which was not one of their vets because the time and gas going to theirs which was far wouldve been counterproductive, so I took her near by and was told I would be reimbursed according to what their own vet wouldve charged. I was told she had kennel cough and was prescribed medication accordingly. The symptoms did not improve and she had diarrhea so I took her back on 9/19/23. I was given more medication and was told if her breathing got worse to take her to parkway emergency clinic. On 9/22/23 I took her to parkway where she stayed overnight and was diagnosed as anemic, and having pneumonia and needed to be put on oxygen. Since that visit, she continued to have health issues and was taken to ********************** and ************************** on 9/25, 10/02, 10/11 (diagnosed with Giardia and bordatella) and 10/17 when we were told at this point with her lack of eating and weight loss she needed specialty care and were referred to VHA. We are being told by VHA her best option is to be put down after transfusions etcEvery visit, every invoice, every medical record was sent to ********************** in real time if not a day or 2 after each one. We have spent close to $8,000 on this puppy and they are only willing to reimburse what we paid and are claiming they werent aware of her instability.

In addition, ******************** returned the puppy to us on October 21, 2023, as we offered to take over future medical treatment for the puppy. The puppy was hospitalized for three days. We are very saddened by the outcome for the puppy as we had been optimistic that the puppy would turn around.

05/22/2023 $2900 $1300 deposit After purchasing a dog from All About Puppies he became critically ill. After many vet visits we could no longer afford care up to $10,000. We contacted the company and they were going to refuse to cover bills because they said it wasn't serious. They also told us that they would only cover what the dog was worth . That statement is nowhere in the warranty they gave us. We returned the dog and they will not refund us. We have vet documents stating that he was sick and exposed to the 3 viruses before we even purchased him .

All About Puppies appreciates the opportunity to respond to the customer's concerns. We have attached copies of the customer's signed contract, the ** Statute ******, and the signed return agreement. The customer's signed warranty page shows in bold print that the warranty is limited to the purchase price of the puppy. All About Puppies went above the obligation. The total amount paid by All About Puppies paid is in excess of $5000 for treatment. The difference of $1300 is the customer's responsibility as they did not seek approval for previous vet bills. The customer was reminded that the warranty's coverage, for treatment, is up to the puppy's purchase price plus tax. At this point the customer opted to return the ********************** and forfeit their deposit of $1300. The customer signed the return agreement, attached, which stated they would forfeit the $1300 on return of the puppy.

I purchased a Tibetan Terrier puppy from the All About Puppies, ******** ** location on 11/25/22. At the time of purchase, she was a little over 2 months & according to the paperwork I was given, her only condition was an overbite. She became ill on Valentines Day, Feb 14, 2023 & was rushed to the vet but once there, started having seizures. Due to severe neurological abnormalities (renal/addisonian), the vet advised us to put her down as she was in severe distress & if she even survived the incident, she would need significant *************************** without the guarantee that treatment would work. The Vet additionally stated her kidney levels were a big concern, there was congenital renal hypoplasia or addisons and she was was likely in stage 3 renal failure. She was born Sept 16, 2022, so at the time of her passing, she was less than five months old. I reached out to All About puppies to be reimbursed for the monies paid for her. The total purchase price was $3364.93 & I used ***********. $1449 was the down payment & $1915.93 was financed of which I made 2 payments of $226.31. In addition, the treatment, euthanization and cremation of ****** came to $1104.30. In total, I asked to be reimbursed $3005.92. So far, All About Puppies is stating they cannot honor my request to be reimbursed. The owner *****************************, contacted me and stated they had the right to have the puppy examined by a licensed vet if there was a claim but unfortunately I can't produce ****** for examination because she is deceased. In her words, "I had her euthanized and cremated before she could be examined". According to ******* statute ****** section 5, documents from a licensed vet stating there was a congenital or hereditary disorder which adversely affected the puppies health ae required for a refund. Those were sent to the company as required. This was not an elderly dog, this was a puppy. This experience has caused ******* family great distress.

I am rejecting this response because: The initial contact to All About Puppies occurred on the 16th. My daughter and I (2 people), went to the store to inquire on how to handle the situation. I was told to call a number which I did and left a message. In addition to calling I sent an email. When they responded on the 17th, they asked for the documentation which I sent. I still would like my refund to include the cost of treatment, euthanasia and cremation which is a total of $3005.92. Additionally, there are ACH payments set up that need to be discontinued or the total refund will go up. Please refund my money.

      Sincerely,

Our customer service was not notified ******************** the ********************** until February 16th, 2 days after the customer had the ********************** euthanized and cremated based on her consultation with the veterinarian. In the last paragraph of ******* Statute ***** pet dealers are entitled to having a 2nd opinion (from a veterinarian of their choice). As the puppy was euthanized, we had our veterinarian review the veterinarian notes, provided by the customer, from *******. The notes provided only showed the last two hours of the life of the puppy. The customer said to let her know if we need anything else. Our vet requested the veterinarian notes from the date of purchase (11/25/22) through 2-14-23. We have been very professional with the customer and asked for the notes from 11/25/22 through 2/14/23, as our veterinarian was not given the opportunity to exam the puppy. The customer was told this by phone. She said okay. She did not follow through, instead she chose to make inflammatory and negative social media attacks on my store, as well as reporting All About Puppies to the Better Business Bureau. Although we sympathize with her loss, we are unable to move forward with the claim until we receive the requested history notes from the puppys previous veterinarian from 11-25-2022 through the date of her euthanasia 2-14-23. Just to conclude I am sure you understand how important it is that we have as accurate as possible diagnosis in case there is something we need to change in our store or that the breeder needs to change in his/her breeding stock.

      Complaint: 19439013

I am rejecting this response because: The statute does not cover what happens if the animal dies before it can be examined. No where in that statue does it say you have the right to any and all paperwork; it does not even imply that. It clearly states "If a pet dealer wishes to contest a demand for veterinary expenses, refund, or exchange made by a consumer under this section, the dealer may require the consumer to produce the animal for examination by a licensed veterinarian designated by the dealer". The puppy is dead and therefore cannot be produced for examination. The puppy died because of a congenital defect and according to said statute, all I had to do as a consumer was submit the documentation from a licensed Vet in the **************** and I should have the right to return the animal (can't happen), exchange for another animal (can't happen) or receive a refund of monies paid. As to social media, if you want to call the truth inflammatory so be it, but just know those "inflammatory" statements were also sent to the ********** of *********** and the ******* Attorney General. Please refund me my money. FYI, if you wait until after the 3rd of March, the refund I will be asking for will be $3232.23 as you didn't even have the decency to stop the *** payments.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

On October 30 my partner and I bought a puppy from "All About Puppies" in Tampa Florida. In addition, my sister-in-law bought a new puppy as well. Within 24 hours both puppies had to be rushed to the ER in the middle of the night because of their respiratory breathing. I am not sure about many people but we treat our dogs as our children. They are family to us. We rushed the babies to the ER in Winter Haven FL and came to find out they were very sick with a kennel cough and a long list of other issues. As we were at the ER the Veterinarian asked where we bought both puppies from and once we shared the company the veterinarian said they have two puppies in the back from the same company fighting for their life for the same reason. We contacted All About Puppies and they told us to keep them informed of the outcome. For two months we spent several nights and days in and out of the ER with our babies. During those two months now the rest of our family also attracted kennel cough even though they were vaccinated for it. $20,000.00 and three and half months later we have finally got a clean bill of health through all the veterinarians and ER Doctors. During this time emails were going back and forth to All about puppies. Now that the little baby is scared and he attached himself to us we were going to make sure he was going to have a good life because clearly All About puppies weren't taking care of at least these two puppies as well as the known animals at the ER. The owner promised to reimburse us plus reimburse us for the expenses of the "other babies" because of her lack of healthy puppies. Today, we still haven't been reimbursed. As I am doing my research on the company "All about puppies" I am finding the same issue with other people past clients that have bought from this company. Their babies are having respiratory issues. You will find that report at the bottom of the email. My belief is that she knows these puppies are coming from puppy mills an

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/04/13) */ This response was taken verbally by the BBB: At this time we have paid vet bills and also gave refund for the dog for the customer and sister who purchase 2 separate dogs. We are also paying 25% for the other pets vet bills. Consumer was told to separate the dogs which they did not do. Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2022/04/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) To Date April 18, 2022 @ 3:19 PM the additional funds has NOT been received per her statement not to mention we are in the SAME STATE. Also, as a response to the comment "consumer was told to separate the dogs which they did not do" - As per a licensed veterinarian "The infection of a canine cough is SPREAD THROUGH AIRBORNE DROPLETS FROM OTHER DOGS COUGHING OR SNEEZING." Therefor did all about puppies expect the puppy to be locked up in a bedroom for two weeks and the sneezing and coughing not to be spread in my house to my other dogs? The bottom line is this: All about puppies knew and knows about their puppies being sick and they continue to sell the sick puppies for profit. As I mentioned before the Emergency Vet already had two puppies FROM THE SAME COMPANY in their care because of being extremely sick. It seems that a pattern is developed with this company and their sick puppies. SIX MONTHS Still waiting on our additional payments!
