Puppies are in terrible condition! I recently went to visit the store and noticed puppies in their own waste. In addition to this a puppy has died in their care due to animal neglect. This business is not provided animals that are well cared for or in healthy conditions. They should be out of business and the owner should have his license revoked! Completely unacceptable to be having dogs in such poor conditions.Initial Complaint

This place sells sick dogs and the care and condition of these dogs is awful. The large dogs barely have room to turn around and the walls and floors are covered in dog excrement and urine. It smells terrible and the dogs all seem very lethargic. This place is a puppy mill. Please investigate.Initial Complaint

Signed a contract on an agreeable amount. They changed the terms of the deal and sent the paperwork to the bank. The employee said our payment was 110 dollars per month. The actual payment is over three times higher than that. The business owner has threatened us over the phone. The owner said he would take back the puppy then changed his mind. Violating his own contract the price of the dog was agreed at ****. They changed the price of the puppy to **** dollars. i was there in ********** ** on july 23,2023 went and seen a puppy shop in sunshine puppies in ladredo off of golf rd the gentlmen said ******* for dog and that my payments would run exactly60 to ***** dollars a month recevied warranty and breed and pedigree of dogno finanicial papers saying at how much was charged.. get email from bank my payment are ****** a month called left message 1st x called 2x talked to manager and he said it would cost ******* dollars to quartitine puppy why lie the owner said he didnt see chart the puppy was ***** dollars a week they are gonna ruined my credit they should have been honest from the start and never lied to make a sell i want out of this sell and disolvedInitial Complaint

On 3/18 we purchased a adorable blue beagle puppy. Within two days the puppy would barley move and became ill. We took the puppy to the vet within the 5 days as part of the "warranty policy". The pupppie was found to have pneumonia and was hospitalized for two days. I have sent vet bills of $1400.00 to sunshine with no reimbursement to date. We call and nobody there can help. They say they mailed it, never received it. Managers always have to call someone and never return your call. I understand this is a common problem in "puppy stores" but don't sell us on the fact you'll take care of everything and do nothing.Initial Complaint

On 11-26-2022 I paid a total of $2,380. for a ****** Terrier who by the time I got her home I realized she was ill contacted sunshine pups to let them know I was taking the puppy to the vet on 11-28-2022 she was diagnosed with pneumonia and was given antibiotics and steroids this did not clear it up and she was taken back on ***** 2022 where she had x-rays and 2 different anti biotics the total vet bill reimbursement should have been ****** (minus routine vaccines/panacur she was given at the *****-2022 visit) I was sent a check for ****** I have contacted sunshine puppies numerous times and have gotten no solid answer as to why I wasn't given total reimbursement for vet visits just the personable employee run around with no solution I feel I am still legitimately still owed ****** .Initial Complaint

Went and looked at puppies and ended up adopting one. We were told it would be $2100 to adopt total and 60 dollars a month, come to find out it was actually $2900 (which includes the vet fees from before we adopted, food we were told was free with the puppy and the folder with our puppies info) and about $160 bi-weekly. Not to mention our puppy ended up being ill and we had to spend over $200 at the vet the next dayBusiness response

The consumers are all aware of the pricing of the dog as they have to sign paper work before they are able to leave with the dog. All payments are through 3rd party which we are not involved with and consumer are given all of their information.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:On July 16, 2022 my fianc and I came to this business just to look at the puppies, we seen one we really loved and the employees ***** and ****** told ** she was $2100 and about $60 a month. We decided to finance her through theyre preferred company EasyPay and lender **************************** for $2875 because of fees that really shouldnt have even been charged like vet fees before she was even ours and food and binder they told us was free with the puppy. After I was approved for financing I tried filling out the information on my phone but it wouldnt let me move on so they employee did it in his computer. After asking me simple questions like how often I get paid, monthly income, etc. he had me sign a paper to verify my personal information and banking information. After finishing everything and taking the puppy home after she was cleared by their vet we ended up spending over $200 the very next day at an emergency vet clinic because she was sick. Then I got the email from the finance company that I would be paying $164 BIWEEKLY! Then come to find out last month, that verification paper the employee got me to sign? It was one of the last pages of the CONTRACT for the financing with a ******% interest rate. So now Ill have to pay over $8500 for a dog they told me would be $2100. Others from ****** reviews are having the same issue. This business is committing contract fraud and is completely illegal. I will not pay $8500+ and will be getting an attorney involved if this is not resolved.

We purchased a puppy that turned out to be very I'll. My vet provided X-rays and bloodwork that shows a dangerous bacteria and pneumonia. Sunshine Puppies is giving me the run around. My vet spoke to them four times and sent all invoices and medical records. They keep saying the check is in the mail. It's been a month. This is awful and this puppy had to stay in the hospital for two days on IV antibiotics so she didn't die. They will do nothing about it. They should not be allowed to handle puppies. It's abuse. I am including her purchase invoice and vet bills. Skylark Animal Hospital is our vet. For a complete record ************. You have my permission to get the complete recordBusiness response

I purchased a puppy from Dan at Sunshine puppies in Largo. Thedate was January 2021. We took the dog to out vet and the puppy has severe luxating knees. We went back to Dan and Sunshine puppies, and we had the contract that he gave us and he said he would pay for the surgery, the surgery was 2600 with a certified, surgeon, and now Dan says that is too much money that his vet who is not a certified surgeon would've done it for 1600. The contract doesn't say I had to use his surgeon or he would pay half. Now the other knee has to be done and he still hasn't paid me for the first. I was told I need an attorney, to sue him for breach of contract. Thank youBusiness response

And now on April 25, Delilah will have her second leg done and the estimate I received is also 2600. I have a contract, I am 72 years old, on a fixed income, and this puppy should not have been sold in the first place. I love her so much, I am Magine I will have to mortgage my house that's paid in full, to provide for his negligence and not honoring the contract that says if your puppy has luxated patella's it is covered . I am so stressed and so emotional I just need this problem resolved so I can get on with my daily life. And not have these pains in my chest are related to stress. Thank you so much for helping me. Once we received receipts showing that the dog has received the 2nd surgery we can process refund.
