We signed our contract for our new pool 3/29/2022. The estimated build time was 12 months. We have already paid the first deposit of $21,786.98. We have reached out to ************************* multiple times and have been told multiple times that the pool would be completed. We still do not have a pool. ************************* has been arrested and his business closed and now we will not be getting our pool. He told us he would be giving us a refund in early June 2023 after he "received his tax return". It has now been a month of no communication and we have not received any refund.

I paid to have them build my pool. It is about 98% finished. I bought an automation system (system that allows you to control your pump, lights & etc from your phone) from them on April 18th, 2022 and have yet to receive it or have it installed. I have been told multiple times that they would be out to hook everything up. Nobody ever showed up. I literally text them once ir twice a week. Also, they messed up by not installing LED bubblers in my sun deck. So he said he would install LED lights on top of the sun deck so the light would illuminate on to the sun deck. ************************* (the owner) and one of his helpers came out and ripped up all the pavers and ran all the conduit for the lights but never actually hooked them up or installed the lights. I have been given the run around for over a year now and enough is enough. Hence why Im making this complaint.

Date of Transaction: 06/28/2023 I contracted with Platinum Pools LLC in *****, ******* in June of 2023. I paid for an install of a custom pool and pool cage. I paid in full as I was promised to be moved ** "in line" to get my pool started 3-4 months from signing. From Sept 2022 to March 2023 there was no contact. I called/emailed the months of Feb/March with no response. Owner contacted me late March stating "they would be starting soon". No contact ********** Contacted owner and received the same response of "soon". The business took my money and contracted with me and a year later have not provided any services. I have been trying to contact them to get a refund and they don't answer. The solution to resolve the issue is a refund in full.

6/10/2022 Signed a contract with Platinum Pools and Spas for a total amount of $79,158.00 for a pool build with a paver deck with concrete footers. Made a deposit deposit of $23,747.40 that same day. Was told the build itself would take 3 months total once commenced (breaking ground) after a permit was pulled, materials were ordered, and for scheduling. To expect up to 8 months before totally finished due to ordering materials, paperwork for the permit, and scheduling. Permit paperwork was submitted 5 months later in October but not paid or pulled. I have had absolutely no response back from this company since showing up at their business in December 2022 which legally puts this job as abandoned by the contractor. When I saw them last in December 2022, They said then their contractor lost their county license and could not work until paperwork for state licensing went though ("any day that week it should be finalized and you will hear back from ** ASAP on scheduling"). Have heard nothing and they are unreachable. Phones go to a full voicemail box. The salesman/pool designer I primarily had contact with via his cell number, no longer works there. I have asked for a refund certified mail to the place of business and at the contractor's address listed under his license number on April 5th with no response. Literally took our deposit, heard from the salesman and office staff off and on through Oct 2022, showed up in Dec. 2022 in person and heard they lost their contractor license, and then nothing. We need our deposit back since no work has been done and the job has been abandoned.

If anyone ever decides to put in a pool. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT use Platinum Pool and Spas LLC serving ********* Tampa Bay area. Worst company and contractor I have ever worked with, and I have been in construction for over 30 years. If anyone has questions, I would be more than happy to share my story. Just to mention a few issues, don't keep their promises fixing issues or returning phone calls, but have an entire list of issues with this company. Just do yourself a favor and find another pool contractor. The owner isn't even the license holder, that's right that should tell you something. The company also blocks people from leaving bad reviews on most platforms. Next steps are to file complaints with the Pinellas ********************** and the ***** There is not enough room on here or take me days to explain all the issues with this company.

We contracted for a pool remodel in December of 2021 that was promised to be completed in 3 months. After numerous delays, we finally got water in the pool in June of 2022. We paid all our balances as the work progressed. While waiting for the laminar jets on backorder, they asked ** for final balance payment in July of 2023 and I refused to pay this until the jets were installed which they promised to do rapidly. It is now April of *********************************************************************************************** emails. Today a line they installed under the skimmer ruptured and they still will not return my calls. In the meantime, they have put a lien on my property for the remaining $6,500 that I owe on the pool which probably wouldn't even cover the cost of remaining work to be done.

We entered into a contract with Platinum Pools and Spas 5/20/2022 and put down a 30% deposit for a pool/outdoor kitchen/enclosure in ************** **. It has almost been a year, and there has not been permits pulled, and the owner keeps telling ** a different story about licensing and permitting. We requested a refund, as for state law states if more than 10% deposit down permits must be pulled within 30 days. The owner refused to provide a full refund of deposit. We would like a full refund of our deposit of $27, ****** for no work has been completed, and no permits have been filed in 11 months.

We had no definite date for construction start and the permit was not applied for until December, 2022. We had no response to questions and contact with the company on *******************. Contracted Platinum Pools to replace pool on April 27th, 2021. I have paid 90% but 90% is not completed, the contractor has told me they ran out of money and cannot finish the job until they get final payments from others. The job was to be completed by April of 2022 and they have strung me along until now. The workmanship was not professional and they damaged a new sliding door. Job sits unfinished and is a health hazard. I would like at least enough money back to hire another contractor to complete the job and replacement of the door that was damaged. $70,000 later and I sit with a mosquito infested pool.

I contacted Platinum ****************************** during the month of March 2022, for the construction of a swimming pool at the following location: ********************************************** 33756.After several meetings and discussions, we came to an agreement with the sales representative ************************* and signed a contract on 04/29/2022.The agreed timeline between our two parties were as follows, the permit will be acquired during the summer 2022 for a start of construction, end of the year 2022.As mentioned in the contract, the timeline at the construction was estimated to be ***** weeks for a total completion of **** months starting at the contract signing. Therefore, the project is supposed to be finished by end of April 2023.The total project cost was $80,000.00 . A check # **** of $24,000.00, 30% of the total project, has been given to Platinum ***************************** as deposit. This amount was supposed to be used to purchase the initial material ordered and different raw material for this project. This check had been deposited the following days and cleared. As a reminder, these practices does go against the ******* statute 489.126:"A contractor who receives, as initial payment, money totaling more than 10 percent of the contract price for repair, restoration, improvement, or construction to residential real property must:1. Apply for permits necessary to do work within 30 days after the date payment is made, except where the work does not require a permit under the applicable codes and ordinances, and 2. Start the work within 90 days after the date all necessary permits for work, if any, are issued"Between the months of August 2022 and December 2022, I contacted the company several times through phones calls and physical visits in order to obtain information about the project, the initial permit and proof of purchases of the materials. Despite several inquiries, and to no avail, such documents couldnt be produced.
