It started in May of 2015, we hired Chris M. to install a septic tank. We gave him a $3000., deposit and everything was good to go until my partner got sick, and we couldn't continue with the install. We were going back and forth with Chris, and we finally agreed that he would keep $500 for all his efforts. After that we never heard from him, we tried reaching out to him and to no avail he is always gone! We text him again in 2018 and he acted like we never meet which is very disturbing. Today 3/21/22, Chris, called us back to give us every excuse not to give us our money back. He was unprofessional and he hung the phone up on me!

      Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/24) */ In 2015 I did receive a deposit of $3,000 and I applied and received the permit as needed to do the work. When I was out to the home I explained to ***** (one of the partners) that the shed had to be moved to get the system in. There is a well (their water source) on the property. A drainfield and tank must be minimum of 75 feet away from the well. I had the materials delivered and was there to do the installation of the system and the shed was not moved. Nothing was ever said about one of the ladies being sick. The ONLY reason why I did not install the system was due to not enough room because of the shed and location of the existing well. I had to return the materials for the job to the distributor (there was a restocking fee). I called several times to install the system and they could NOT find anyone to move the shed. In my contract it states that the deposit is NON REFUNDABLE unless we can NOT achieve a permit nothing about if you can not move a shed to make room for the system. I told the ladies when they were ready and had the shed moved let me know. I NEVER heard anything or received any text from the ladies until 2022. Recently I was contacted by Ms. ********* about requesting the deposit back minus $500 for the permitting. Then I received a text (which I have) stating that she had an idea to wipe the debt clean. SHE would purchase a macerator lift station pump tank and wanted me to install it so that their waist would be pumped into the neighbors system. I explained to her that what she was wanting to do was 100% illegal. You must keep your septic/waist completely on your own property even if the neighbor gives you permission. I do not do any septic work without a permit. I will gladly give her $2,500 off of a new tank and drianfield (at today's prices) that I install to Hillsborough county specifications The permit expired on 1/1/2017 so another permit will have to be applied for. Originally the neighbors home and their home were all one piece of property but now have been divided into separate parcels that is why they wanted/needed a system of their own and on their property. I have not been out to their home since 2015 so I have NO idea what they are currently doing for a septic system. When I talked to Ms. ********* 3/2022 I tried to explain to her what she wanted me to do (install a lift station that she wanted to purchase) was 100% illegal and that deposits were only refundable if a permit was not able to be achieved. She started yelling at me and was not willing to listen to me at all. I never raised my voice. I was not going to be yelled at so I did hang up the phone. I will gladly honor the $2,500 ($3,000 - $500 for the original permitting) towards a new system installed by Mullen Septic at 2022 prices or whenever they are ready for a new system plus permit at the time they are ready. Since 2015 prices have over tripled in cost. If the shed is still in the same location it will need to be moved just like in 2015. I do NOT move sheds
