      I bought a brand new dump trailer from Odell Trailers, and in less than 8 months the cilinode that operates my trailer going up and down went bad. The owner tried to tell me I must have plugged the trailer plug into my truck the wrong way. He said he could see burn evidence on my plug. There is absolutely no evidence of that and I explained this to the owners but they charged me for this malfunctioning part anyways. They were also extremely rude to me as a paying customer, who came and was nothing but polite. The owner and the service technician Wayne made fun of me to my face.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/23) */ We understand Mr. ******'s concerns, but this electrical component being plugged in upside down will cause a hot line to ground causing it to short out the solenoid then unit won't function properly until replaced. we explained to him what had happened thought he understood the problem. We did not mean for him to take it the wrong way it was definitely not meant as making fun of him ! This business is making a completely false claim, with no such evidence to support it. The plug has never been inserted upside down and there was no evidence to suggest that. It is completely unacceptable to accuse me of doing such a thing and not have any visual evidence to prove it. There is no evidence of burn damage on the plug in and it is clear it gets plugged in only one way. This company does bad business because they think they can get away with it. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/09/01) */ There was no false claim made as previously stated the solenoid was shorted out. After new component was installed the unit worked fine. Mr. ****** was made aware of the problem when he brought it in for repair. He was also made aware there would be a charge on the replacement of part. He left it for repair returned to pick up and paid seemed to have left happy and now this. Been in business since 1960 we run a good business! The business did not propose any resolution, they are denying my claim entirely. They are making a false claim that I must have put a plug in upside down. I will be sure to warn others how they treat customers. If there was any physical evidence to back up there claim I would understand, but this is not the case. Simply put I bought a trailer for $8500 and within a year a part goes bad, instead of doing the right thing and replacing this $250 part, they charge me to do so. I would hardly call that "good business". I hoped to buy more trailers from them until this unpleasant experience. They also told me to lie if a company they work with called me about the battery that was replaced. This was because they did not give me a thorough walkthrough of the trailer, when it was sold to me. I plan to contact this organization directly as well, to report how they do "good business". I will not be bullied by any organization because they feel they are bigger than one customer. I will continue to share all the details of this incident on every platform available, since they want to be this disrespectful. Keep in mind all they had to do was replace a $250 part, which probably cost them a lot less than they charged me. They would of had a happy customer, who would continue to buy future trailers from them, as well as refer new business to them.
