Son purchased 2015 **** Focus from dealership. Put $7000 down. Vehicle purchased on 8/15/23. Transmission broke few days after purchase. Among other problems, battery no good. Son had to buy. Radio broken Son had purchase new radio Brake lights out. Son had to purchase. No high beam lights. Not yet fixed. Dealership sent car to their repair shop Rapido on ****************************. Son was told repair fully covered. Not only did the warranty company refuse to pay for a complete transmission they only paid for parts of the transmission to be replaced. Then Son was charged approximately $800 towards repair. Transmission broke down day after he left Rapido. Transmission has broken down 3 times after repair shop said it was fixed day after. Car would not go in reverse and would not shift properly. Brought back to repair 3 times. Last time told sin that it would need a computer brain, part of transmission for car to work. Told Son still covered under warranty. Then called *** and said **************** denied claim! Part cost was approximately $1200! Son called dealership told him not their problem. They just sold the car. Didn't offer to reimburse Son any money. Car has not been in son's possession since purchased!! Car has broken down within 24 hours each time repair shop said car was fixed! Son has not driven car for over a 24 hour period SINCE purchase without breaking down. Car has been in repair shop for weeks on end. Son has paid loan payments on car he's unable to drive! Want resolution of payments for all repairs or return car get down-payment and out of pocket costs for all repairs to vehicle. Son has not been able to use the vehicle since he purchased it.Customer response

First of all, this is not even from the buyer of the vehicle, but I still will respond. **** dollars was put down not **** but that's just semantics, This customer test drove the car and wanted the car, I cant look to the future and tell what will go wrong with a vehicle but not only this customer but a few others had driven this car and no one had any issues.... INCLUDING THE CUSTOMER with the transmission. I always try to put a warranty on vehicles through the bank so they will be in a better position should the unthinkable happen. This vehicle had about ***** miles on it when he purchased it and anyone, myself included, would think a **** with that low of miles would be no issue!! As for a repair shop.... Dealership did not send to THEIR REPAIR SHOP.... we RECOMENDED A COUPLE for them to take it to since they didnt know anyone! This complaint sounds more like a complaint against Rapido than it does about the Dealership!? We are in no way shape of form affiliated with any repair shop and we tell customers that if they dont know of a certified mechanic we know a few that work with the warranty companies. It is well within the customers rights to take to any certified mechanic they choose, including taking it to the **** dealer! Again, most of this complaint is aimed at Rapido and I can not speak to their involvement with said customer. Since most of the remainder of this complaint is about the MECHANIC SHOP, i will close for now in saying, The dealership did everything in their power to make sure that it was a good car before the sale and even after the sale by making sure they had a warranty.Customer response

Bought a SUV Expedition from this dealership. Never saw the car but online- Once I received the vehicle I called the salesman - The 3rd seats levers were broken and would not let down the seats, cracked windshield, and check engine light was on. Spoke to salesmans over, over and over - Called Manager of the dealership and then the salemans would call me back. He finally stated he would send me a check for 779.00 to have the seats repaired myself but when I got the check finally on 12/21/21 it was only for 500.00. Also in the mean time I have called and text the salesman I have had 3 tires go flat, the and find out the registration was transferred from the wrong car of mine to this car I bought from them . This has been a nightmare now, he is not taking my calls or text at all. I just want everything corrected especially the registration since they charged me 400.00 to do this and did this incorrectly. I will never go to this car dealership or recommand them..Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/01/20) */ We sold this vehicle for about $1500 less than retail and usually do this.. the vehicles are sold as is. However, the customer called about the latches on the back seat that we said we would fix for them if they would bring the vehicle in but since they lived a ways away they wouldn't do that so.... they got a price from someone they knew where they live, the cost on the latches should have been about 150 and 100 to have installed but since we were trying to do the right thing, they figured they could get us for 800 dollars? We figured since we could get done for 250 then they should definitely be able to get it done for TWICE that so, we sent them 500.00 dollars... I don't understand what their complaint is since I sent them 500 dollars on a vehicle that was sold as is.... I actually thought I was being WAY MORE than fair in dealing with them. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/02/02) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) We did not call and get a quote, they called and said the quote was 800.00 they were going to have them order the parts and send a check to the lady to repair the back seat latches. Business never had the parts order or paid the lady, after multiple calls to the company they said they would send me a check for the repairs in the amount of 800.00. I received 500.00. Also called them since I had 3 flat tires within 2 weeks of getting the suv. They said they had new tires but on the vechicle which was not true at all. Everything they kept saying was lies. The only issue I want them to correct is the title to the car, they picked the wrong vehicle and transferred the incorrect title and tag . They took the tag from my husband vehicle and transferred to my SUV that I bought from them. Now I have the incorrect tag on my suv. That was charged to me over 400.00. Just correct my title issue and I will never buy from these indiviuals again.
