I hired All Day Glass and Mirror to install a new shower glass. ******* *****************, the owner, visited a couple of times to have a look at the shower and take measurements. He assured me that he was able to order the materials and professionally install it. On or about November 22, 2022, we paid a 50% deposit of $700 by check and he ordered the glass. Approximately two weeks later he returned to install the glass but realized his measurements were off and needed to reorder another piece. Once the reordered glass was ready he returned again to complete the installation. On December 15, 2022, we paid the remaining $950 ($250 was for a mirror bevel). As instructed, we waited for the glass to set before taking a shower. He demanded his final payment before we could test out his work. When we took our first shower we noticed some glass was wobbly and that lots of water escaped the glass and pooled on the bathroom floor. There was so much water that a full sized bath towel was needed to wipe it up. I showed ************ video of how the shower water would flow down the glass and onto the floor. I also showed him where water escaped another area of the shower. We then noticed that the spacing between some of the glass was uneven or too wide. ************ returned a couple of times to add plastic and silicone to the glass. All of this occurred during December 2022. Unfortunately, the water kept escaping the shower. We have had other shower glass professionals look at it and the unanimous opinion is that ************** measurements were inaccurate and the glass needs to be removed. New measurements need to be taken and new glass needs to be installed. We have asked ************ to return on numerous occasions in January and February 2023 but he has not shown up. We shouldnt have to keep adding plastic and silicone to a brand new shower and all of the water can cause damage to the floors. We need a refund so that we can pay someone to do the job correctly.
