    I was issued a refund check by the company, which they sent by mail. I never received the refund check and called the company to follow up. They stated the check was cashed. I told them I never received the check and wanted more information, as I suspected fraud. They sent me a copy of the cashed check, showing the signature on the back. I informed them that that was not my signature and it was check fraud. They informed me that they would conduct an investigation and I would have to fill out paperwork. A week later I called the company stating that I never received the paperwork to fill out. They told me that I needed to file a police report and then they would start the investigation. Confused at why they were telling me two different solutions, I attempted to file a police report. The police officer told me he needed more information before he could file a report, such as location where the check was cashed. I did not have that information and called the company to get it. They informed me that they could not give the information without the police report. I then wrote an email to the company stating that I either needed further information about the cashed check, which they had, or they would have to start their own investigation as there was nothing else I could do. I first contacted Security First Insurance regarding this matter on 01/09/2023. Security First sent the email with the check copy on 01/17/2023. I called Security First for the second time on 01/17/2023. I emailed Security First on 01/24/2023 asking for a resolution and have not heard anything since.

    Terrible customer service and communication. I applied for and paid for four home owners policies for homes in FL. My premium payment was accepted right away, and I was sent an evidence of insurability form right away.... then, the trouble began. I was told at least a week or two later that I had to do self-inspections on the properties, or pay out of pocket for a four-point inspection. As I do not live in FL, I paid out of pocket for a four-point inspection ($350+), which by the way, another insurance company did for me for another rental property free of charge. Then, I kept getting cancellation notices non stop, even though I had forwarded the inspection reports. In addition, I keep getting "new document" emails from the co., which require me to log on to the "portal," where I have to sift through anywhere from 20-30 documents in order to find the new upload. In addition, they appear to be changing the terms of the coverage in these "letter" documents, which are never mailed to the consumer,, but simply uploaded to their portal At this point, I feel total buyers remorse about purchasing these policies, and will likely cancel next year, when the premium comes due. Not worth saving a couple of hundred bucks for questionable coverage.
