    Letter to Carter Water: On June 14, 2021 I purchased a well water treatment system (Puronics Ironmax iGen, s/n 214006 and Hydronex iGen, s/n 223890) from Carter Water. I paid $6,500 for the system, and it was installed on June 15, 2021 (see attached invoice). Unfortunately, the water treatment system has failed to perform as promised by Carter Water sales rep Jason C********. Mr. C******** assured me ALL of the issues that we were experiencing with our well water (i.e. rotten egg smell, amber color, poor taste, etc.), including potential health and safety concerns would be resolved with aforementioned water treatment system. Our well water, as treated by the equipment Carter Water sold us, continued to have a very strong, objectionable and unacceptable odor, taste and color. Furthermore, we couldn't even assume the water was safe to drink, because Mr. C******** never bothered to test the water before proposing and selling us the Puronics system. On December 28, 2021 I had a new well water treatment system installed by another company, but only after testing the water coming out of the well and presenting an appropriate solution (see attached invoice). As is turned out, our well water contains over 2 parts per million hydrogen sulfide, TWICE THE AMOUNT the equipment you sold us is designed to handle. The new system consists of a chlorination pump, chlorine solution tank, two water retention tanks and a water softener. Our well water problems were finally solved by this new system. Therefore, I would appreciate if your company would pick up the equipment you sold us (I have it stored in my garage), and refund the $6,500 I paid.

    Pleeeaaasseee DO NOT get this system and especially DO NOT do business with Carter Water, Puronics, or any other name they go by. We've only had our system for a little over a year and the tech has only come out once, after we noticed brown water. Now, we're noticing harsh red water that is staining our tubs and showers. On top of that, my husband reached out a few months ago and we didn't hear back. They FINALLY emailed back and when my husband called they informed us that we'll have to PAY them to come out to do annual maintenance in order to keep our warranty. How does that make sense? We have to pay for them for their system (that they installed), on top of paying a monthly bill, in order for them to come out and look at the same system in which they sold to us, to stay within their warranty? Mind you, we do monthly salt checks and the salt is fine but there's still red residue coming through. We've also reviewed our contract and there's nothing that states us having to pay for an annual checkup for the system in which Carter Water advertisers. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Please save yourself time, money, stress, and a headache and find a different company.

    *****,We are truly surprised to see this 1 star review as we just got off the phone with you. This is the same review you left on ******* You were scheduled for service May 15th. We have no record of you contacting us a few months ago. What number did you call? We discussed your annual service over the phone. We went step by step thru your paperwork and it clearly states twice that regular service is necessary. We are hear to address any issues with the system. please call us at ************** to schedule a service call so we may correct this situation.
