I am writing to file a complaint regarding bills I continue to receive from Brock Pest of Lynn Haven, Florida. They continue to attempt to bill me for monitoring of a Sentricon system at a home I no longer own and have in fact not owned since August 2021 about a year ago now. I informed them in late June that I no longer own this home but they continue to send me a bill dated 4/20/22, over 8 months after I sold the property, asking me to pay for "annual renewal" at a property I no longer own. Even after informing them that I no longer own the property, they have threatened to send my bill to collections and in my view are essentially engaging in extortion to attempt to receive money by threatening my credit inappropriately if I do not pay to renew a service that I no longer need. I would have paid for the annual service in April 2021 and this should have covered all of the time up until I sold the property and in fact beyond that, so I certainly should not be held responsible for services to the home beyond the time that I actually owned it. If they had contacted me before attempting to renew the service without my permission, I would have informed them of the change of course. I am informing the Better Business Bureau of Northwest Florida as well as the Dept of Agriculture which handles licensing of businesses in this area because I suspect that, if they are doing this in my case, they likely have done the same with many other property owners, which could amount to thousands of dollars in fraudulent billing. If they are doing so with intent to defraud, even after learning that I no longer own the property, it could in fact be construed as a criminal act of extortion, which also may need to be considered. In any event, even after I contacted them by phone, no one attempted to respond to resolve the matter other than to continue to send me the same inaccurate bills. Sincerely, ***** ** ****, ****

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/07/27) */ Contact Name and Title: Lisa Pierce, Admin Mgr Contact Phone: 850-265-5702 Contact Email: [email protected] We contacted ******** on 4/19/22 by phone to let him know we would be coming out to his home at ***************** to inspect the Sentricon (termite) bait stations. A message was left on his phone letting him know we would be out the next day. We never heard back from him, so we completed the service on 4/20/22. In June 2022, ******** called our office upset that he received a bill letting us know that he had canceled the service. Prior to the June bill, we had sent him a statement 4/22/22 and never heard from him. As soon as we received the call from ******** in June - we immediately took off the charge without hesitation. Since the service was completed in April and not paid - the bill would be considered late and would have the collections verbiage at the bottom of the statement. Mr. **** was never physically sent to our Collection Agency.
