Sunday 4-20-24 jet ski rental 9am. 2 jet skis for 2 hours. 1st time renting jet skis and should have taken pictures or even videos to show any ****s or scuffs prior to leaving the dock. I didnt because he said they take them. Claims over $1,070 damage. Pictures of before that were shown to me on an old iPad were way too blurry. Never hit anything in the water or came in contact with each other. Getting on and off them was a bit rough and the helper actually banged one on the dock at one point. Attached is the best 2 pictures we have before leaving the dock and are time stamped. When showed the damage already was there. He started back tracking and showing other scuffs and dings. Mad Beach Watersports doesnt have a jet ski on that dock that doesnt have a **** on it. Looking at other cases on BBB it seems Im not the 1st one to get scammed. Never got a detailed receipt on what was being charged for. Just 2 separate charges without my consent. Never admitted to damaging anything. Manager was very aggressive and defensive. When mentioned calling authorities to report, he mentioned I would probably get a ticket. Pretty sure that was to discourage.
