I've been working and trying to come to a conclusion for about 3 months with this shop. My problem started when I brought my car into the shop for a simple axle repair. There was some light popping noises as I turnt my wheel. First off, they charged an outrageous price. But that's not the problem here. After they "completed the work" they returned the car to me and a new sound was coming as I took off and accelerated. (I included the email interactions below after this took place) They told me to being the car back so I did. After bringing the car back they had the nerve to lie to me and tell me I needed new control arms and lower brushings. (Included in email below.) They wanted close to $1,000 for this unneeded repair. I left and took the car elsewhere and upon lifting up the car at another shop, we found the control arms and lower brushing to be in completely perfect condition. Mind you, my car is a 2020 practically brand new. The next thing he had noticed was the axle that was put in my car was old and used. I PAID $400 FOR A NEW OEM FORD PART. THAT IS WHAT THIS SHOP LIED AND CLAIMED. I brought the car back and insisted the warranty the axle and that's the cause of the new sound, because the sound wasn't their prior. They agreed to warranty the axle. Little did I know, they never even replaced or did anything to that axle. They told me they took it out and replaced it. After getting my car back, the sound was lighter but still there. He said he replaced it and there was nothing further he can do. Of course I took my car back to the shop that told me my control arms were broken. When the car was lifted this time, we were disappointed to find that axle was never replaced. The same old used faulty axle was there in my car still creating the problems. At this point, I want a refund for the work. My car was never repaired and they put an old faulty part in my car. This place needs to be flagged as they as robbing people on a daily basis. Please help

      Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/10/06) */ After reading what this Customer wrote, I hardly know where to begin with trying to Dispute his Claims. First, the Customer was given an Estimate for the Replacement of the Left CV Axle after it was test driven and confirmed that this was what was causing the Noise we both were hearing. The Axle that we quoted to him was a Remanufactured Axle from Ford. Even though the Axle was a Reman unit, it did not look old and used, and was certainly replaced. Upon completion of the replacement, the Car was test driven by Myself along with my Tech to confirm the noise was corrected and returned to the customer. At some point after this, we were contacted back saying that the customer was hearing a Different Noise now and asked that we reinspect our repairs. When myself and my Tech drove the car, we heard no Clicking noises but did hear what we felt was squawking noises from the front suspension when going over slightly rough terrain. we lifted the car to inspect and was able to duplicate this noise coming from the lower control arm bushings and advised the customer of our findings. we were asked to provide an estimate for the replacement of these parts and I later received an e-mail asking if we could use less costly parts instead of the Ford Control arms. Some time had passed and we were contacted again asking us to reinspect our repairs as the customer had taken the car to other shops and that they did not see any obvious problems with the Bushings, which is correct. The Bushings look fine but make noises, but can certainly be left as they are if the customer disregards the noise. The customer contacted us back and demanded that we reinspect his car for our repairs, which we did and when we drove his car again, I heard a clicking noise coming from the left front tire area and found no obvious problems with the brakes and felt it most likely was a problem in the CV Axle. We ordered another CV Axle from Ford and replaced the Axle and test drove it with not hearing that clicking again and gave the car back to the Customer. I personally apologized to the customer and have not heard back from him. The CV Axle was replaced in this car 2 separate times, and we currently have a Warranty Claim with Ford for the first Defective Axle. The Customers claim that it was never replaced is False, And I stand by the Fact that the Control Arm Bushings were making a Noise, but Obviously not the Noise that this Customer was hearing, but as soon as we heard the Noise from the Axle that we installed, we took care of the Problem. There was no Dishonesty or Theft here as Claimed. A possible Misunderstanding as to what this Customer was hearing, but in 31 Years of being in Business, this is the first time I have ever been Accused of Deception and Unfortunately, this is difficult to defend unless the Customer stands and watches the parts replaced, which we cannot allow. Please let me know if you require any additional information. Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2022/10/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I was never quoted a price for a remade a remanufactured part. I asked the man directly when I bought the part Is this a brand new part from ford and the man told me yes. This part can be purchased brand new from********* for $100 for a no-name brand. I was absolutely scammed by this man because after bring the vehicle back and them claiming to have repaired the axle, the sound had went away for about three days. Three days later the sound came back. There is absolutely no sound coming from my brushings or my control arms as they are in perfect shape. Once again, upon inspection, the sound is coming from the axle. back in mid-September I'd come back for a third time, and they had claimed to have done the warrantee and replace the second time.. I don't want to continue to come back together with Axel that is used which I was never informed of. I have a faulty axle in my car For the second time from your shop and respectfully I ask for a refund for the part. I was never told this was used. I want this fixed correctly by my mechanic. This is not a trust worthy shopz Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/10/12) */ I will have to admit I am in error about the Axles being remanufactured parts. Both of the Axles that went into this vehicle were actually New Axles from Ford. Typically, all Axles in the past from Ford have been remanufactured parts and that is why I thought these were. My Office manager had given the Estimate to the Customer and she knew that these were new and had told him that they were new axles. I am including the Invoices that both axles were purchased on and a simple phone call to Ford can verify this information. It is difficult for me after reading this last response from this customer if he is just Upset thinking he did get a remaufactured Axle or if he really does have another noise that he feels if from the 2nd New Axle. Consumer Response /* (4200, 19, 2022/11/06) */ After about a month, I've been searching for a resolution, but I have found out that this place has not only scammed me, but destroyed my vehicle. The sound that is in my vehicle is here to stay. The negligence and carelessness, and want to make money, has led the store to cause permanent damage in my vehicles axle shaft. Instead of fixing the problem the first time when I brought it back after they incorrectly installed it they tried to sell me $1200 in control arms. They told me the car was safe, which, indeed it was not. every single mile. I drove, added damage because the axle was incorrectly installed. I went those couple months, panicking, afraid that my car would collapse because of the sound that it was making and how intense it was becoming in fear that it was my control arms. Back in September the shop warrantee it but the warranty didn't do anything because the damage was already there. my axle can be replaced 10 times and it will not sound the same because there is permanent damage. The scamming owner of the shop try to send me a message and asked me to bring back that axle part and he will give me a refund. this is after there is permanent damage cost to my vehicle that cost thousands of dollars to fix. The axle was not put in correctly the first time. The amount of problems that I have had to endure from the shop is absolutely crazy. On top of that. I'm not sure what shady stuff is going on but stop posting on my car facts that you worked on my car on "november 4th" and mullinax worked on my car on "october 13th." I don't know what games are playing but at this point I have to hire help. you are passed working with, and you destroyed my vehicle. this is honestly the most untrustworthy and nightmare of a shop in all of the Orlando area. Business Response /* (4000, 21, 2022/11/08) */ I sent him an E-mail after I spoke with you last and offered his Money back, And I heard nothing from him. I will no longer waste my Time trying to Convince you he is Wrong with His Accusations, or appease him in any way. 31 years in Business and I have never had to deal with A Gen Z that hides behind a Keyboard and Spews Lies with an Obvious Chip on his Pampered Shoulders. Lodge a Complaint against my Business if you Must. My Conscience is Very Clear about this whole Situation. I would be willing to bet this is not his first Complaint against a repair shop.
