Was placed on the do not rent list for hertz rental car. Was never informed of any additional charges until I went to rent a car. ***** will not tell me what the charges are for and referred me to JNR adjustment company. They also won't explain what the charges are or even the amount. They just demand my credit card for payment. I rent cars very often due to work travel and I have never had any issues returning a car.

I have called the number they provided numerous times over the last few weeks.  I've left messages every time.  No one has ever called back to try and resolve this.  I can never get a person on the phone, it's always a recorded voicemail to leave a message.

JNR adjustments sent me a collection letter on behalf of AEP. This is the third company Ive heard from regarding a damaged power line from a fence install on 9-11-2023. I have provided over and over than I did not have a fence installed. I am the wrong person! They are asking for $2496.18 for the supposed damage. Yet again, Im the wrong person. I reached out to them and have not heard back. I dispute this claim 100%. Youve got the wrong guy. Ive offered to supply pictures of my property so they can see I have not had a fence installed or done any digging that could have led to damage.

we are an excavation company in northwest Colorado. we are professional, polite, and do top quality work. last summer we hit an un-located phone line. we had done out due-dillagence, like we always do. we had an active locate ticket. JNR is attempting to collect for damages that we are not at fault for. ticket was provided to JNR and they ignored it, still claiming there was no active locate. you can even see locate marks in the same picture they have sent claiming there is no locates. This company has been harassing me for payment. we have proven to not be liable for the damage they are seeking payment for. they have very little information that is correct about the claim they are making but the harassment continues... very bad practice. furthermore when the repair company came to fix the broken line they made an absolute mess of my clients driveway access that I had to clean up.

      Business response

JNR Adjustment Company, Inc. (JNR) is the third-party firm assigned by ***** ************ ******* in matters of property damage subrogation.

JNR operates two office locations. The main office/headquarters in Plymouth, MN and a branch office location in Orlando, FL. ***** assigned the subject case file to the Minnesota office, and the Minnesota office is handling it. This matter bears no relevance to the Florida office operation and should not be recorded in the FL BBB records or history.

We respectfully disagree with the complainant’s position and commentary. Demands for reimbursement of the cost to repair damage the complaint caused does not meet the definition of harassment. Differences of opinion and evidence interpretation weigh heavily in property damage claim investigation and any subsequent liability determination.

Contrary to the complainant’s comments, ***** wholly agrees the damaged line was not marked in response to the complainants locate request, filed before the damage. While the complainant did provide the locate request they made prior to digging; in accordance with Colorado State Law, making the request is only the 1st step in an excavator’s duty of due care to protect existing, buried utility infrastructure from harm. The locate request alone does not provide indemnification from damage liability. JNR has not ignored the information provided.

We attached a copy of the complainant’s Colorado 811 locate request ***************** as provided by the complainant. The excavator describes the work as: “FOUNDATION/H2O/SEW/GAS/ELEC SER NEW” at *** ***** *** * ********* ******** CO. They describe locate area as: “LOCATE ENTIRE LOT ACCESS OPEN”.  The subject damage occurred in the middle of the access road behind the specified property. The excavation was not within the “entire lot” but rather, in the access road outside of the property boundaries. *****’s utility line locating contractors only spot utility lines in the area specified in the request. It is not reasonable to suggest a line locator should mark an area not specified. Digging in an area not specified in the locate request, is the same as digging without requesting a locate at all.

The condition of the site following the repair of damage the complainant caused is not a mitigating factor.

Based on these facts, we believe *****’s demand for reimbursement of repair expenses is correct, and the subject complaint lacks foundation. JNR does not argue the merits of the excavator’s liability, through a Better Business Bureau forum.  We encourage the complainant to contact the assigned representative, Hans W*** at 1 (800) 279 2567, Ext. 219 to arrange resolution and/or provide any additional facts that may contradict *****s conclusion.  Otherwise, ***** has no alternative but to escalate this matter to outside counsel.

I received a letter date 12/20/2022 from JNR, which lists their client as **** Advanced Soluntionsa4, and asks for $2,841.06 in property damage. The damage date is listed as 9/23/2021 with a location of 33rd and 9th Ave. We do not go into the city for any matters, and do not do any business with ****, so this letter is erroneous and false. They have just send a 2nd letter this week listing the same information. I am looking for JNR to stop harassing me with this false claim. I ignored the first letter as a scam, but now the second letter, plus phone calls that have started equal harassment. This complaint is my attempt to resolve this without having to get lawyers involved.

JNR Adjustment Company, Inc. (***) is a National Third-party *********************** licensed and bonded in each State where required, including **.
***'s *********** is located in ***********, **., with a branch office in *******, **. The subject item originated from the *********** office, as indicated on the letter-head appearing on each lette. The two offices operate independently, and it is unclear why this item was routed through the ******* BBB, instead of the **, ND BBB.
In either event, the subject case file is neither a scam nor an attempt to defraud. ********************************* acknowledged receipt of two letters and subsequent telephone calls from ***. Why not simply call or e-mail the contact on the *** letter, vs. filing an unwarranted complaint with the BBB?
This matter stems from a motor-vehicle accident occurring on or about Sept. 23, 2021 at 33rd and 9th in ********, **. This accident involved a 2012 Acura MDX operated by *********************************, and an AT&T Service vehicle. AT&* seeks reimbursement of the cost to repair damages resulting from that accident.
********************************* may believe automobile insurance resolved these damages, but to date, that has not occurred. AT&T has not been able to identify any valid insurance coverage in force on the offending vehicle. We included a copy of the ******** Incident report, and a photo of the vehicles in question.
If ********************************* believes he is not at fault for this accident, we urge ******* to contact our offices as soon as possible, to explain. Please contact us at ****************, and speak to the agent assigned to the file, *********************** on Ext. 125, or via e-mail at ********************************************** refer to the case number shown on our letters.
Were confident this response, along with a simple acknowledgement or return call from *********************************, will bring this matter to a close.

Hello There,Thank you for taking the time to read about my situation. I was involved in a car accident while driving one a ***** rental car. The car was deemed Total Losss, and the insurance claim was settled between my lawyers and ***** insurance. Fastforward two years later this month of September 2022, I just received a collection notice from a company called JNR Adjustment Company, with reference number *********; claiming that I owe $1000 to****** in regards of such said Accident. However, the car was never returned to me it's still in ***** property, so I should not be charged this $1000 for collision deductions given that I am not the owner of the car. Kindly, please assist in resolving that matter as this is the second time that ***** pins a Bill (that I do not recall signing up for) on me and sends it to collections. I paid the first bill, but now I think this is getting out of hands.I would like for JNR Adjustments to remove this account from collections, given that I was notified firsthand of the existence of this bill.Thank you and have a nice day!

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/13) */ Hello BBB, JNR has received the dispute from*************** for JNR file no:********* and responds accordingly along with the attached supports. Mr.******* did rent a ***** vehicle under the attached contract within the documents provided. As this was a rental through an **** contract, there is coverage under that contract through ****, however that coverage does come with a $1000.00 deductible in the event of any accident. Please note that our clients total claim was $12,160.50 and there was a 3rd party insurance company that paid their $10,000.00 PD limits towards the claim. After this payment was posted this still left a remaining balance of $2,160.50. Due to the contract *****, **** and their drivers have, is the reason Mr.******** is being billed for the $1,000.00. Please note that JNR Adjustment Company does not report to any of the credit reporting agencies. As this claim is owned by *****, it is within their guidelines to place the rental suspensions on Mr.******** drivers license until he has paid his deductible. Please do not hesitate to contact me further with any questions you may have regarding this account at my contact contained within. Thank you,
