About ***** months ago i had Carriage Shop Too do a simple diagnosis on my 2018 Sierra ****** pickup truck. I pleaded with *** (Person i worked with) to PLEASE call me before any work is done to my work truck. He did not call me one time, instead he decided without my permission to install a brand new radiator and that along with labor was roughly $600-$700 i just didn't really want to spend at the time. *** demanded the job be paid in full before i can take my truck so i borrowed some money from my dad and paid him hoping my issues would finally be over and id be done with ***. Sadly not even a few weeks later the truck was running even worse than before. I took it then too GMC AUTO MALL in ***** springs where their master mechanic of over 25 years checked it out for me for over 2 weeks i was without a vehicle. He could not find what the issue was coming from and told me to try and get money back from *** as they seen a very slap together type of job on the radiator that he is very sad happened to me. I am now stuck with a very poorly running 2018 truck thanks to *** and I've tried calling to resolve this and he is nothing but hostile and very rude to me and i am afraid for my life going to his shop anymore. I thought about going to try and get a refund but he is a very hot headed type of person and im not comfortable being around that. Please help me BBB, even a partial refund would really help me.Business response

There is no *********************** at this business, my name is ********** and I am the manager of this facility. I worked on this vehicle 11 months ago. The customer ( a regular with us ) called me FOR A PRICE ON A RADIATOR a week before bringing his vehicle in for repair. While on the phone with him, I asked him what was wrong with the radiator that he wanted a price. HE TOLD ME IT WAS LEAKING. He got the price and said he would get back in touch with me. He showed up a week later unexpected at my shop and said he was here for the radiator. The price was already established with the customer and then he brought the car to me, so I preformed the work. As far as his problems with the vehicle he never stated any problem to me other than a leaking radiator that HE DIAGNOSED we only confirmed it. When the work was done he left and I never heard from him until a couple of days ago. He never once called me for 11 months about any problem that he was having, so I don't even know what his complaint is about. When he called me a couple of days ago he did not state what his problem was, he just yelled he wasn't happy with us and threatened me then hung up the phone. As for the vehicle running bad I did not fix any problem on the vehicle for a running condition. The customer did not tell me about any running problem. The vehicle did not leave my shop with any running problem. I did not look for a running problem. I did not diagnose a running problem. I did not know anything about him having a running problem. I ONLY REPLACED A LEAKING RADIATOR THAT HE DIAGNOSED & ASKED FOR.

I am rejecting this response because:Hello again,
This is not true. I have not been back to joes shop because just like in his text with the caps he is hard to deal with in person. As i stated initially, i dropped my truck off to *** with the sole purpose of giving the vehicle a through check because i was having a small problem at that time. He promised to call me before ANY repair was to be done. He did not, even after i called the shop a few times in the span of 36 hrs before i finally got a call back saying to come get the truck its ready. I was not happy to say the least.. Upon arrival i was demanded to pay for a radiator install and repair i didn't authorize. I would have done it myself if that were the case because my dad and me can and enjoy to do things like that. If *** would have done what he promised in the beginning we would not be here today. I simply asked for a check and he promised to do nothing until he got word from me first, which is how business is supposed to be done. Im not asking for full refund i get it.. but i am asking for half for the troubles your team has put me and my poor truck through for not reason. This is half the battle. The other half is the truck hasn't ran good since leaving his shop.. So please, be a good person and do what is right.

I stand by my original statement. I did not work on this vehicle for a running problem. I fixed the radiator that he brought it to me for. Everything he stated in his second response is a lie. And most of what he said in his first complaint is a lie also, other than he brought the car to my shop. I did nothing on the vehicle for a running condition. That is not what it was at my shop for.
