VitalDental performed a "deep clean" on Jan 10 and 17, 2023, then submitted claims to my insurance company Humana. Among the itemized claims were those for "Antimicrobial" totalling $2,000. Humana denied the $2,000 Antimicrobial claims with reason code 272/FNP (Benefits for this procedure are available only when performed at least 28 days following completion of periodontal therapy).VitalDental then billed me for $589, telling me as I left their office (to which I was baited with another dental cleanup appointment but no prior communication) I will be sent to collections.Since this is clearly an error by the dentist I should not be liable for any payment. The $589 should be canceled.Customer response
