I purchased a 2012 VW CC in an "as is" condition from Carway auto sales **************************************** on August 25, 2022. When I left the dealership on the way home, I got a low oil pressure warning one time, I did some basic checks when I got home and never got the warning again. The next day my son drove to and from college and had the message multiple times. I purchased a low oil pressure warning switch thinking it was only an indication and not an actual condition. When I removed the pressure switch from the engine, I found that a s**** had been inserted into the o****** in the pressure switch to fool the system into thinking there was oil pressure. With the switch in hand, I returned to the dealership and asked them to take the car back due to the fraudulent way it was sold, and they refused to help, stating it was now my car and hence not their problem. But this in my opinion is not an "as is" case, if it was, I would walk away, this is a case of Fraud, and a deliberate deception, it is also dangerous, the engine could have seized due to the lack of lubrication causing the car to suddenly stop and my son a "new" driver could have been injured or killed.I spent a further $500 and installed an oil pump with fresh oil and filter but the issue persists, at this point I believe an engine replacement is necessary.

Purchased vehcile on 1-6-2022. Test drove vehicle and engine light came on and seatbelt restraint warning light came on. At time of purchase salesman and owner agreed to fix those 2 problems. His mechanic would fix when back from vac. Light stayed on so sent us to *** repair on ********** ** 2 times. Went back to dealership to expensive so sent to us **** **** ******* ** said would contact dearlership and would have dealership contact us. This did not happen went back to dealership. Salesman said **** **** to expensive ordered from O'Reilly. Went back after salesman did not get back to us again and he said wrong part came in and had to reorder. Went back in never ordered it looking for cheaper part said on ebay. Asked about seatbelt and he said lets get this done then worry about that. Did not hear anything went back in (have dates documented) said would not pay for part and do labor only. I was upset so left. My wife texted to meet with salesman and owner 8 times no response. She went in on 2-18-22 talked with salesman and owner who would not even look at her and walked out but she had him come back in. She stated the promises they made and what they put us through. This is what we spent on repair for the engine light they diagnosed $1,217. This does not include the seat belt. During all this time we put 2 fender turn signal units and low beam headlight and roof leak problem total $185 which we never asked them to fix this as not in original agreement. Seatbelt not fixed yet.

I bought this used car from a buy here pay here place called Carway for my mom on Friday 2-25-22. The night we got the car, we noticed that something was off after we left the dealer so first thing in the morning we set up the car for a "free inspection " to a mechanic referred to us by the dealer. Per the dealer, the inspection was free. I'm guessing they work together somehow. The mechanic gave us a date of 2-28-22(today). Upon my mom taking the vehicle, they reported that there two issues wrong with the car but refused to tell us what only saying it is a simple fix that would take 4 hours or more, AND they refused to give us a report of the diagnostic. We tried returning the car, however the dealer is refusing the give us our deposit back. We know there is something they are hiding considering we can't even get a piece of paper to say what the issues are. They said they would pay half of the service but that is not what was stated in the beginning when the job to fix the car was over $500. It was to be a free diagnostic so that we could then see what the issues are and not a blind "fixing" of the car.
