In May of 2022, I sought the services of ACE Custom Millworks to have my kitchen cabinet doors & drawers made & installed. I had to pay half of the total cost of $5,200, in order for them to start the project. I paid $2,600 on May 11, 2022 via Intuit quickbooks. After two other visits, Adam asked that I pay more of the remaining balance. I wrote him a check but he returned due to a waiting period. I told him USAA does not have a physical bank, then he asked how he could get the money asap. I mentioned that I had Zelle and Venmo. Adam asked if I could send the money via Venmo to his wife because he didn't have an acct. I first sent $1,300 on June 24, 2022 and $800 on June 30, 2022. My initial communications were with DJ (nickname he went by...believe his name to be Daniel Cruz), remaining communications and physical work was done by Adam (Believe his true name to be Brian Brumbalow). Some of the work was completed, however, I am missing a cabinet door, ALL of my drawers on my kitchen island, accent piece under my sink front, lasy susan doors and ALL of the soft closed hardware (Adam re-installed the old hardware). There are many imperfections to include wrong paint color on a cabinet door, crooked handles and dings/scratches that need to be corrected & was told that it would be. There has been numerous texts/calls during the installation of some cabinets, but I sent a group text to both DJ & Adam on July 20, 2022 about my concerns of the project not being completed and numerous excuses as to why I have not heard from them. I had texts back and forth from Adam on July 20,22,25,26. I called BBB 8/9/2022 and spoke to Kristin where I was informed how to file a complaint. There has been a complaint against ACE in July 2022 by a customer on the BBB website. I called Adam on 8/9/22 @ 0920, he called back @0937 assuring he will complete work but needs time. His shop was shut down by his landlord end of July per his phone call to me on 8/1/2022 @1026.
