The owner sent her employee to check our roof, he took pictures of the water stains on our ceiling and took her time to contact us only to refuse to honor our warranty. Today we woke up to a puddle on the floor from the roof leak coming through the light fixture. Long Lasting Roofing should be out of business.

Thank you for taking the time to give your review of our company. Long Lasting Roofing has been in business for over 12 years now without one negative review. We are a commercial roofing company who provides roofing services to schools, hospitals, shopping centers and industrial buildings. The customer providing this review is a homeowner who was a receptionist for one of our clients who needed help on the roof of her house. Although we do not perform services on homes, we were willing to help her out in a time of need.

We installed a recovery system on top of her existing flat back roof patio area and charged her only the cost of materials and labor because of the client relationship we had with her employer. We explained in our written warranty that annual maintenance is required to keep the warranty active. The maintenance was never performed and the customer also had another roofing contractor on the roof who pulled at the laps of the roof system creating tears in the roof system. At that point the warranty was then void.

When the customer requested that we make "warranted repairs" she reached out to me on my cell phone while I was in the hospital. We had our inspector report to the roof in a timely manner and the findings of the inspection

(Continued from previous response) the findings of the inspection concluded that repairs were not covered by warranty due to lack of annual maintenance and the other contractor causing voids in the system. I provided the explanation to the homeowner and have written documentation of the explanations.

We pride ourselves with quality of workmanship, fast response times and excellent customer service. We are a fourth generation, family owned small business and every transaction is one that we value and appreciate. Some of our clients such as Miami Dade Schools, Stiles Property Management, ***** **** ******* are all happy with our services and continue to use us year after year for their commercial roofing needs.

Happiness comes from within. Clearly this customer has been the one out of thousands of customers who was unhappy with our explanation of how our warranty works. It is unfortunate that during such difficult times during a global pandemic that a customer would go out of their way to slander a small business and suggest that they should not be in business....especially with mistruths that would damage a company's reputation.

Thank you for your inaccurate response Devin, Yes I needed help finding a reputable roofer and met you while I was the Property Manager's Assistant in January, 2017. What you verbally stated to me and what you presented to us in writing were two different things, yet we never questioned you nor refused to pay you. Neither you nor your employees ever contacted us for an annual inspection as you claim was necessary for our warranty. I think your business should be able to follow up on your clients, whether commercial or homeowner.
I don't think it's a professional manner for a business owner to always have a different excuse each time we tried to contact your business. There was never anyone answering your business telephone other than you.
The reason you no longer work for the Property Management company where I heard of you is because of your lack of professionalism and your poor workmanship.

You keep insinuating that we called another roofer for repairs, what makes you think we would do that before calling the company which did the work?
You just made sure to find any and all excuses not to honor our warranty. We are not accustomed to complaining about nor going out of our way to harm anyone, unless we were done wrong, and you certainly did that.

At this point, we have presented the facts regarding your roof multiple times both in writing and verbally to you. We have all of the evidence of photo documentation, written communications and warranty requirements. We simply can not honor a warranty when your roof was physically torn by a different contractor/handyman. It is also not our responsibility to remind you to perform roof maintenance. If you continue to wrongfully accuse our company in a public forum we will have no choice but to move forward with a defamation lawyer. If you would like to move forward with presenting the evidence in a court of law we are happy to do so.
