I hired this company to do a paint correction on one of my dealership vehicles which was a 2011 Infinity Fx35. The vehicle was dropped off on 9/23/22, early afternoon, at 3405 Monroe Str. The job was suppose to only take a few hours, receive the car back the next day. I received a Facebook message from the owner of the company that his brother wrecked my car. It was involved a chase with the local police department, totaled, and left unattended. I contacted the owner for his business insurance and he provided me with a outdated policy. The owner has been uncooperative and will not give me updated business insurance or personal policy. I have a police report which is ********** and will be given that on 10/4/22.

      Business response

      11/16/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/05) */ ***** was a mutual friend prior to incident happening who dropped unregistered vehicle to my residents with no insurance or written contract in request for me to help him out with getting some scratches off the exterior of the car and fading paint spot on driver front fender . Jerry also known as jp another detailer I've known for a few years who does specific paint corrections for me picked up the vehicle as normal to take to his designated area of detailing with instructions to return to the place of pick up once finished . Informed that it will take a few hours for detail it wasn't until early sept 24th morning that I received a call from jp finding out then that the car had been in accident instead of him saying he is done with detail and is on the way immediately asking what happened I learned that the car hydroplaned understanding the hurricane conditions that was reasonable not knowing the damages I then without further notice reach out to ***** ******** about what I was told . Understanding his frustration I tell ***** to come to my residence the same place where he dropped the car off to discuss how we can fix the matter . As told from pablo he paid a little over five grand for the vehicle and from the looks of him seeing it that it may not be fixable i then ask him what will resolve this , as he stated he would want the price he was going to sell the car for which would be 8500 or so . Giving pablo $4500 cash while he was at my residence 9/24 where many people witness him come and camera surveillance I then told him to give me until the 15th of Oct 2022 to give him the remaining of the cash as I was going to get a notarized written agreement promise to pay drawn up with jp giving me the money for the damages . Given 7 days from ***** ******** as he did not reach out to me one time since receiving of the cash 9/24 I then later get notified with hundreds of alerts and social media threats from a post off ***** ******** personal and business Facebook and social media pages . Only then learning that the story I was told from jp and the story ***** was informing everyone was two different things . Not telling all the details of what happened and that pablo received any cash in receipt of what occurred and that I was cooperative in trying to resolve the issue because the car was left with me before jp picked it up. ***** painted a picture that his car was stolen someone was joy riding and then wrecked totaling his vehicle. Not once have I gave any remark to any negative post or comments because ***** and I knew what we talked about I don't think it's fair to bash my company in such negative way when all I did was try to help him being the owner of ************** a popular company It's likely for him to bash me negatively because of the person I am but when making reviews or claims he needs to state the whole truth and not just once side of things because I have been nothing but professional and corporative with ***** because I am a business owner despite the occurrence of the unfortunate incident. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/10/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I will not go back and forth with the owner of the company as everything they have said was a lie. I can provide copy of the police and full screenshots of what was said and done. 1. We have a contract via Facebook messenger in which the owner even came to view the vehicle and inspect before and the job was accepted. 2. I have insurance on the vehicle but not for owners to joy ride or take it from location to location. That is why the owner must have insurance for situations like this, in which the owner of the company does not have valid business insurance and is continuing working illegally. The vehicle was also dropped off at the same address that is on his Sunbiz. 3. I have a screenshot from the owner on Monday after my Facebook post of calling out the bad business practice by say company, saying he will still give me 9k. $4500 now and $4500 on the 15th. Proving not one single dollar of any amount was exchanged on 9/24/22, instead he gave me a outdated business policy.
