Contract with Florida First Roofing entered into on March 22, 2023. At such time, a 50% deposit of $9,000 was paid to secure the contract. Work commenced on or around April 24, 2023 and was completed on May 9, 2023. Upon completion, the balance of the contract - less a small credit for property damage - was paid. On June 28, 2023, I received a Claim of Lien against my property. The lien was filed by the materials supply company, gulf Coast Supply & Manufacturing, due to non-payment of supplies by the contractor. The lien is in the amount of $7,577.13.Business response

Floridas first roofing company contacted us if we would like to get a new roof (they were doing the townhouse next to us, our houses and roofs are attached). They said they will offer us a good price and that it would be easier to do the whole roof (both houses) at once. We agreed and paid the company 7000 dollars. They put a new metal roof and since then we have had multiple leaks and so did the neighbors (whose roof they also redid at the same time). It should be noted that our roof did not leak nor did we have any damages on the ceiling, on the inside of our house, before the new roof was made. We have contacted the company the first time (it took them a really long time) they came by, took a look and said that the leek comes from the neighboring house (not the one where they did the roof but on the other side of our house). They "repaired" the part where the houses are joining and put a small metal part. We again had leaks that have gotten worse. We contacted them again, they came by (again, it took them a long time, we sent emails, called them...). They said that they forgot to put some kind of barrier, they again "repaired" the damage. The situation did not change. Our roof is getting worse and worse. The house next to us (where they did the roof) also has leeks and damages on the inside. The Company is ignoring our emails. We have asked them if they have insurance and what they plan to do about our roof and about the damages on the inside of our house but in vain.
